@@waynedaniel Much sense is relative though. Imagine the talk in T1 where John Connor tells Kyle Reese he must go back in time tomorrow cause he wouldn't exist otherwise. I mean wtf? Also it's actually Kyle Reese who kills the real John Connor from T1 due his raging boner for Sarah. Due these events Sarah never meets the real father of "T1 John Connor" and isn't raised as the same. So when the John Reese-Connor boy can become resitance leader in T2, everybody can be shaped to it. Dani was still forgettable though, as were all the other "John Connors" expect for T2 and maybe Salvation (haven't seen the tv series).

Terminator timeline makes Kingdom Hearts timeline look simple. Say what you will about the mechanics, one of the rules is that events cannot be changed. Terminator timeline has more flux than the capacitor on a certain DeLorean. The only movie not to alter the future is the first one, where the time travellers cause the future they came from to happen.
