***** Who cares? It's a movie about dinosaurs going apeshit. It doesn't need to be smart. I mean, if someone likes a smart movie that thinks racionally about the things happening on screen then this kind of movie is not for them. That's why people dislike this movie. They're expecting something smart, without plot holes, extremely accurate. The first movie is exactly the same bullshit, with the exception of having fun, loving characters which this movie lacks.
@Afterword.9 жыл бұрын
I think it was to show that no one's safe. That even reasonably nice people (like Arnold from the original) die. I never noticed the product placement. They in this movie simply decided to use real stores instead of fake ones in the back ground and that is a totally reasonable call. Grant has a slight change in the way he feels about kids at the end but there's no real arc and Malcolm is consistently going on about chaos theory and nature finds a way. They don't change they don't learn, so they're one note. Please explain otherwise istead of merely throwing insults but I doubt you can?
@rocksteel92389 жыл бұрын
+Darth Vanquish I think the main reason is that while the characters in the origninal were kind of one dimensional the orginal movie... how do I put this just wasn't as in your face about how one dimensional they were. Chris Pratt's character is a perfect example of this for he is in many ways just too perfect as he is a - Built like a tank - Loves animals - And is a highly trained soldier specialist In fact it seems nearly ever shot he is in is to reinforce "How awesome Chris Prat is" Compare this to Sam Niels Dr. Grant who was shown to at least have some human flaws like he couldn't stand kids (initially at least) which made him more relatable. Also say what you will about Denis Nerdry but his evil plan actually made logical sense. Now I'm not saying that Jurasic World is a bad film (in fact I really enjoyed) nor is the original perfect its just that I feel the character aspect of the new one could have been handled better.
@vanquish50239 жыл бұрын
Rock Steel I can agree with that. It just drives me nuts when people will blindly support something and then hate on something else with similar problems.

+Rock Steel The main characters were very poorly written. I suppose you could say Bryce Dallas Howard's change of heart re: kids is in there somewhere (you'd really have to dig for that). But nonetheless I bloody loved Ty Simpkins in this film - didn't get nearly enough screen time. Despite not really having much of a role, he was the one character I was really emotionally invested in. And there's some development for his brother in that he becomes somewhat closer to him (turns from a massive bellend into someone that sorta seems to like his bro).

Um... why is everyone suddenly hating Jurassic World? When it first came out in June, everyone loved it like their old childhood friend finally came back after over 20 years. Now, four months later, the opinions are more polarizing. Was it because of how much money it made? Is it because of the Frozen effect, in which something is so popular, hipsters begin to hate in order to stand out? If that's the case, I'm going to be six months ahead of the curve and say that Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a really bad movie, and that J.J. Abrams deserves to die in hell. If this is what happens in six months, I'll just laugh, knowing I was right all along. P.S. If you're reading this, Screen Junkies, I want you to do Inside Out. It's my favorite movie of the year.
