Mannnn this show is so slept on. Idk where it's gonna go! You brought some verry convincing theories here! One of 2 channels I've seen even trying to breakdown this show. I've still been trying to find out who among them is a spy but this theory of yours would completely nullify even needing a Spy. The theory about their souls being trapped in that realm is something I concluded too! The other movie that immediately came to mind is the Blair Witch. However the man in the suit seems to be more calculated vs just some being with rage indiscriminately targeting people. The season 3 finally shed some light on why they were all there and it's related to sacrifice and choice. I concluded that if these people in past lives DID sacrifice their children to live forever, they were either tricked or currently being punished. The willingness to live forever at any cost blinded these people to the consequences of their actions. This leaves me to believe this man in the suit is a Demon, torturing these people for all time. Continuously reincarnated only to then be forced back into their immortality but serving out that time in a hellscape created by Demon feeding off their horrors. I always felt like Julia escaping was allowed, planned just to mess with them. To show they can leave and still end up there. It's almost like the man is drip feeding them little bits of hope so he can crush their spirit at the highest bit of promise. Look forward to more coverage. Thanks!

Fromville has 3 gates..we saw them depicted on the cave's wall... The Landgate,the Underworldgate and the Watergate. I think The Man in Yellow is the Keeper of the Underworld one. I think Jim was the reincarnation of the Fromsville's arhitect.He knew where the gates are, or how to be opened.that's why was killed.

Interesting theory, but I believe the "monsters" are way smarter than just letting themselves be caught. What happens when the sun comes up? They are up during the day if they want to stay up, like when Vicor and Henry went into the caves, and don't have to be asleep, they also don't disintegrate like vampires during daylight hours. They stay in the dark because the Anghkooey kids were in the dark, I believe this was the correspondent and relevant outcome for the townspeople who engaged in the sacrifice and the children. Basically, if you want to "trap" the creatures you need to be stealthy about it as well and mention it to no one. Also do not listen to any of the deceased former residents as they may not be allies in any sense of the word but manifestations of the town, not necessarily the MIY. I don't believe the MIY is the end all be all, he has limitations, and he can only do so much, but we have yet to actually see the scope of his trues "powers and abilities". Just like the with BIW who insists you have to understand the clues for yourselves, the game played here must be figured out by the current residents, especially anyone reincarnated, hearing voices, seeing things etc. I believe the monsters are not to be destroy by trapping, beheading or any other type of plan but be defeated completely by changing the story and helping the sacrificed Anghkooey kids. Anything else is a waste of time with possible serious repercussions.

The Boy In White is not helping to figure out how to save the children, Tabitha already went through the tree and brought back Henry, Jade and Tabitha have been failing for over a century and probably remembered who they come FROM previously, and Boyd killed Smiley once by at least having a plan in his head.

The man in yellow made the first deal to save the girl the town found out and wanted it to use the power to live forever the man and yellow is trying to replace himself with Ethan and the girl and the dress. Also a new body will probably come next season

I don’t think Ellis was a bad man before, he was a man that was carrying a grudge, resent towards his father, a man that watched his mother die by the hands of the father he actually begged to intervene before his mother went completely rogue so he was a little standoffish towards his father but at colony house i can’t remember him being rude or mean to anyone there.

this is such an interesting theory i thought about this too but couldn't they just climb out of the window? or even tear through a wall if they need to (they seem to have insane claws and strength). It only stops them from going through those specific doors

The Creatures could and more than likely would climb out of a window. If they do, then they know how to perfect the trap for next time and more than likely use a different building.
