Agreed. It's the sort of thing that seems cool in the moment but if you think about it for more than a second it just doesn't work. Unless the implication is Mystique just straight up shoves Logan in weapon x anyway, which Apocalypse seems to suggest, or we assume the, now massively retconned, Origins happens as it originally did. The prominence of Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique is definitely one of the poorest aspects of the first class timeline.

There's a post-credits scene in X-Men The Last Stand where the nurse hears Charles' voice coming from the coma patient. He transferred his consciousness into the guy before Jean killed him. Then in the post-credits scene in X-Men Origins, he tells Logan "You're not the only one with gifts", implying the transfer worked.

Definitely not the best xmen movie. X2 and first class are. This is just higher in the list becuaee the rest are just so bad. But even the original xmen is better.

@@aedanmannion zero sense with nostalgia, it's superior because at least the plot was cohesiveness what the villain was doing. It wasn't messy like Future past which used a lot of plot armor. Original Xmen was grounded grounded make sense at least of how the plot evolved and isn't convoluted.

I just noticed that he took the time at 1:30, after he says he has trouble seeing things, "large gray shape", that for that one cut-away back to the Executive, the Executive is facing the wrong direction when he speaks to the Writer. Nice. Nice touch. That's attention to detail, there!
