honestly, I was wondering if Kristen would end up switching to Ankarna, but having both of them instead of just 1 god seems a lot more fitting for her. absolutely amazing season. I've never laughed so much as I have over K2, cowgirls, and honor the cock, among so many others. truly brilliant comedians. and the sets were all so beautiful as well, the crew was so awesome.

Yeah that was an idea my friend and I had before Ankarna's name was discovered, with godly names "updating" with the god as they changed and were even forgotten (and thus erased due to oblivati mori). That obviously no longer made sense once we learned Ankarna's name still existed on that stone, but it was the only thing that made sense for how Cassandra's name would’ve been "updated" if it was new. Learning it’s just her old name, and that there’s no divine autocorrect is kinda disappointing, but probably makes more sense.

I do feel like it's useful to think of it in "magical" terms. Or divine or whatever. In a world where you have not only Chronomancy but also like actualy divine powers and stuff, reality wouldn't work the way we think of it. Since time and even causality is malleable, it's a lot less crazy (relatively anyways) to imagine two opposing things being simultaneously true. Like with enough power an entity could make a thing not just cease to exist but never having existed. So presumably the reverse is true as well. It can be an old name pulled from the mists of time *and* a new name projected backwards through time at the same time. Cassandra might potentially be re-becoming the thing she never wasn't. When you're dealing with entities who presumably exist in more dimensions than we ourselves do shit gets *weird.* The whole thing with Kristen and Cassandra is inherently paradoxical and impossible to make any sort of logical sense of and I kind of *like* the idea that trying to figure out any sort of "truth" of it is impossible because it's the ultimate miracle of uncertainty. I'd like to imagine that the truth of the matter is always somewhat in flux. Or... y'know... I say all that and Cassandra looks at me and goes "That's what yooooou thiiiink" and pirouettes away, forever keeping any kind of certainty away from me.

exactly what I thought. Cassandra's name wasn't gone like Ankara's, where all the followers were killed and the name scratched off. it was a powerful ritual made by her followers.

I completely agree. Also @catandotter1237, how would you feel about an uncomfortable alliance with Bobby Dawn trying to get Buddy back to Helio? Bobby is still hardcore on the Sol train, and he did seem genuinely devastated about losing his grandson to Ankarna even if he generally supported Porter in his plans. Something in me loves the tension of the Bad Kids trying to defeat Kalina and Bacarath with help from Bobby, who just wants his grandson back.

3:40 I feel like for all of the characters you could see all of the seeds that had been already planted in them, with mostly vengeance against the badkids primarily by kipperlily, then being pumped full of rage fertilizer over like 4-5 months they were just such bad versions of what they initially were- Mary Ann never changed because her anger was never ambient so she only got mad when something that would've made her mad happened, and Ruben felt like he was fully brainwashed, Lucy had none of it, obviously, Kipperlily easily accepted because vengeance and power, Buddy Dawn went with what he already had goin, I feel like we don't know enough about Ivy and Oisin to understand how they changed, but it does seem like they were close gossipy friends in the first place.

Oisin does have that bit with his grandmother being friends (or related to, don’t super remember) Klavaxis, so ther could have been some family influence outside of Kipperlillys influence, and I do like the head cannon that the bad kids offhandedly insulted or scorned them by accident, but it was just so small compared to everything else that we haven’t picked up on it.

I can’t wait 5 years for Senior year!! I watched freshman year the summer before my own freshman year, then during my own spring break of sophomore year I listened to sophomore year since it came out on KZbin, then I subscribed to Dropout just to watch junior year right before the summer of my own junior year. I need to watch senior year before I graduate high school, I’ve gone from barely getting into D&D at the start of middle school to a consistent player and DM now, it’s been there as inspiration constantly and I can’t stop now.

Ally said it felt very real to them that Kristen had first handedly experienced what happens when you so easily step away from something so important. And that they really liked Kristen's natural growth into "Ok I'm becoming a better person, or at least a person I like more" and is naturally excited about being responsible in that way. It's on Drop Out TV if you go to the behind the scenes interviews. So Kristen choosing to stay with Cassandra is a very natural growth of the character and I think it's awesome ^-^

I always just figured Ice Feast and the snow-based Simulacrum pulling so much duty with the final fights was due somehow to Ruvina's influence. She'd want the best for her sister, right? Also not sure what's going on with Kalina since she's the one who put them on to Porter in the first place, or tried to. Mysteries abound.

There's something the cast was missing about Kalina that kept being a bit frustrating. In the words of Brennan, about Ankarna, she's good when her followers (or God, in Kalina's case) are good, and bad when they are bad. In sophomore year, Kalina was evil. Plain and simple. But now, in junior year, she was still bound by the Spies Tongue Curse. They kinda skipped over "she's still cursed" into "Oh she's still evil". And so when Kassandra dismisses her and Bacaroth needs a new champion, great, she's evil again.

Kalina clearly didn't like Kristen but at the beginning of the season Kristen was acting so selfishly in terms of ignoring Cassandra that it made sense for Kalina to push her into trying to promote the religion. I do think Kalina genuinely cared about Cassandra, but the cast has almost always been hyper focused on their first impressions of people (Rahg andAelwyn are notable exceptions.) Kalina was cursed and "evil" in season 2, but she also intentionally lead Riz to reunite with his father and did not ever directly threaten their lives from what I remember. She wasn't *that* bad, compared to other villainous characters.

Arguably one of the best DM right now! Rivaled of course by Matt Mercer! This was arguably my favorite season of Dimension 20, which is saying a lot because of course you have Crown of Candy, The Unsleeping City, Starstruck Odyssey (highly underrated imo), and of course, Fantasy High Season 1 and 2! Can't wait for Senior Year!

To me, it would be incredibly funny if Kipperlilly Copperkettle was locked up in a ridiculously high security prison. The type you see supervillains put in, (Magneto in that one xmen movie. Loki in that one thor/avengers movie. Like, they need to retrieve information from her in their Senior Year, and they need to have Agent Clark like, bring them down a 50 story elevator behind a hidden door. Theres two security guards standing by just to turn 2 keys to open door. Tons of archano-tech warding to keep people from scrying, or using interplanar magic to travel there. Abolish actual prison, but for this joke, keep supervillain prison.

I really need to know how they're going to explain Buddy still trying to follow a rage god and fucking off with Kalina (who helped the Bad Kids but was still unfairly treated in the end imo) after Ankarna removed all the crystals (or did she?). Why didn't he wake up with partial memory loss, since he was also influenced by a rage crystal. He seemed like a regular guy with no real connection to the Bad Kids like the others. Why did he end up like this? I can't make it make seeense. >o< It was probably a spur of the moment thing, but it's gonna bother me for the next 5 years. (Also was Jace actually pushed into the lava, or is he arrested. What is he like without the crystal?)
