Hello, I noticed you have the P value in the second line wrong, is P900 in that case not P600... (Diameter - core dia)/2. In that case (20-18.2)/2=0.9 so that give us P900

Thanks you helped me find out what was wrong with the first cnc metric thread video

R value in the 2-nd stroke has to be a tapered (x-offset of start thread) parameter. If it is straight thread just R0 ... Very useful option which I think, has to be in your beautiful explanation.

Doesn't core diameter and thread height conflict with each other ?

I have a thread to make and it have a groove where the thread stops kinda like an undercut but its where the z stops before the x moves to clear. is there a way to do that with a g76.
@TruthbetoldtotheWorld2 жыл бұрын
So interesting and clear but P value should be big diameter minus final or smallest diameter divide by 2. Which gives 900 in this case instead of 600. Proof: 0.9*2+18.2=20 big diameter.

Is the first R for finish allowance valued in microns as well?

I think that "P" value is an upside-down 9 and not a 6?

After memorizing this video meticulously... My lathe is too old for the g76 code

Did you try the single line one?
@MechInvent Жыл бұрын
@@sonzai9441 no, is that a thing ? I checked and my lathe has g76 listed in the OS so maybe that's it

@@MechInvent yes, just used it today on a 80- ies mori seiki

Or you can use after g76 a modal g92 for finish

wrong,,,, p value on second line should 0920 as depth of 1.5 thread is .920 multiply this by 2 (1.84) subtract that from thread major dia (20) gives 18.16 which should be your X core dia, this is easy to find in any thread spec, or just multiply the pitch by .6134 to give you your depth

Hey Mark, your pronunciation is a little hard to understand some words. KZbin can not translate your speech into captions in a perfect way.
