Team Scissors member here, I’ve seen a lot of people being salty about the Tricolor Battles, but I personally had a blast with them, however I admit that it’s mainly because I was in a call with my team and we were able to actually communicate with each other among the chaos. I am a little sad we lost, but hey what’s done is done, good job to all the teams!

Same here actually. There were problems, but I think after a while people will get the hang of it. My friends and I lost a lot in the beginning, but towards the end we went on a winning streak with tricolor. It got to the point where we prayed that we'd get one because if not it was just a match where team Rock spawn killed us

Isn't it so cool that Scissors won? In all seriousness, I had the time of my life in my first ever splatfest and my first ever won splatfest. This game feels so much better, from the rumble and CAMERA SHAKE on the Roller and the sea of medals you receive *_and how Rock made a comback._* being able to stick and interact with your team and the mere existence of Tacticooler are just a few things to note about how good the game feels. Quick Respawn meta is fun, fight me, *_KILL ME! I HAVE TACTICOOLER EQUIPPED! KILL ME! I DARE YOU!_*

Shout out to the player that set up a taticooler inside my big bubbler and proceeded to absolutely wreck the other team, that was super fun! Never played a shooter aside from a bow in Minecraft in my life but I caught on super quick and had a lot of fun even if I was losing most games (ended with 10 wins and 14 losses) I'm definitely going to pick it up when I can, it was so fun 😁

Let's go team rock! Pretty much the only reason I went with team rock is because of Shiver's really cool design. The emphasis on blue and the pale skin make the red eyes really stand out. The red eyes, pale skin and fangs give her a vampiric look also.

Everyone focuses so much on killing in splatoon that the turf war part becomes secondary. And that's how I won like 75% of the games with me using aerospray EVEN with me absolutely sucking at using fizzy bomb (like seriously I just can't charge it for a million years when I should be inking, worst sub-weapon change). Bonus: my best weapon score in splatoon 2 was 48.5 with Aerospray MG, but ofc then went on a losing streak just before the coveted golden 50

I did see quite a few aerosprays but I never ended up trying it (I haven't used one since Splatoon 1). Once I switched back to the basic Splattershot Jr and started playing hyper aggressive, I stopped trying different weapons lol. Taking over the enemy base and placing a shield beacon (I don't remember the name) seems almost too powerful. Once the whole team is there, anyone who gets splatted can ink the rest of the map before jumping back to the rest of the team. At the end of my last session, I had about 24 wins and 7 loses. A lot of those wins where pretty dominate too. However, the best counter to getting your base swarmed seems to be ignoring everyone and rushing into their base in return. Also, let's go Team Rock!

The “Markiplier” (official known as The Angle Shooter) is essentially just a harder to use point sensor. Any enemy that is hit by the projectile or touches the light trail it leaves behind is marked and tracked for a short time. The only reason you would pick it over the point sensor is the fact that it can actually deal a small amount of damage if you can actually hit an enemy with it directly.

I was hard team rock, but I had so much fun this splatfest. even if I didn't win every battle splatoon 3 feels so smooth in gameplay, especially gunplay. it feels much more responsive and easy, along with movement being very crisp. I genuinely think I'm going to love the game when it comes out, and to paper and scissors u guys played amazing, I hope we meet again ^^

I was damn sad when I played the demo, because it turns out I cannot get used to the controls at all, gyro or tilt, in the 4 hours I played (because the Splatfest is 12am to 12pm for me, fun timeslot) and I ended up with motion sickness after a while. But man, even that 4 hours, despite all my frustration with getting splatted because I cannot control my game well, was super hype, and I had fun as well! Ironically, the Splatana was the one that I was best at, on tilt controls. Not much aiming, when you rush up to an opponent and smack them right in the face. I'll probably stick to watching you and the other Splatubers play for now, and maaaybe buy it myself when I have the money
