I did the sidewall section because I was only repairing a ride on tyre and they're dear as poison to replace. Repair works great, many thanks.

Very nice video tutorial. Just want to understand the logic about the warning -- about not to attempt on the outer portions of the tread. Also can you repair in-between the treads??
@screwsnutsandbolts2 жыл бұрын
You can repair between the treads but not the shoulder or sidewalls. Check this link: www.kaltire.com/en/repair-tire-puncture.html

How long do these last, the repair
@screwsnutsandboltsАй бұрын
Some people say they last the life of the tyre if done properly but I would only ever use them as a temporary repair to get me to a tyre shop and have it inspected and patched internally.

Thank you for sharing,very interesting.As a garage or Tyre outlet would do this same type of repair,I am wondering if it could be used as a longer term repair? Very useful though considering the state of our roads !

Some garages in Ireland use this type of repair as a permenant fix but I'd still be wary of using it long term, just in case !. Very handy in an emergency though, as long as you have the means to pump up the tyre after the repair :)

I use this method for years with no issue. Fortune saved.

@@damiiano76 exactly, don’t use it in the red zone shown here or you will die and get arrested by the tire police. I have died twice by my plugged tires blowing up and fell off of a mountain.
