Nice piano. Could you walk me through your thought process in deciding the B192 vs other pianos? Do you find 192 long enough? Or do you want a larger piano for deeper bass?

Well the process was quite straight forward. I liked the sound of my old Pleyel grand but the action made more and more problems. So I had the choice between rebuilding the Pleyel or buying a new one. To try to decide I went to the piano shops near my town as well as in all the towns I did travel to in order to test as many pianos as possible. And when I tried a Steingraeber piano I thought "that's the one"! Concerning the size nowadays 190 cm is about the magic size above which you can get a good equilibrium between the piano registers. Actually the Steingraeber 192 compares well to the 210 cm grands in other brands. Even the small Steingraeber A 170 is amazing. But whatever the piano brand the longer the better that's basic physics! Choosing the brand is a matter of taste. All pianos are different but each brand has its specific character. I hope it helps.

Well played. I see that you also performed Scriabin op. 11 no. 1. Which one did you find more difficult to learn?

Thank you for your kind comment. For me the 6 is much more straight forward than the 1. The 6 is probably the easiest of the four preludes op11 I played.

@@Pleyel204 Thank you for your response. I’ve been considering trying number 6 and 5 as well. I played number 14 many years ago and it was fairly straightforward and a lot of fun.
