Sandro Russo Plays Scriabin's 4th Sonata op. 30 on the legendary Steinway & Sons "CD-75", serial # 156975, prepared by Tali Mahanor.
This is the piano Vladimir Horowitz played in the 80s for his recitals at the Met ("Horowitz at the Met"), Royal Festival Hall ("Horowitz in London"), and in Japan..
The complete DVD "Sandro Russo Plays the Steinway CD-75 Horowitz Piano" will be released later in spring; stay tuned for news and updates!

I should thank you very much for this recording! I played Scriabin's 4th Sonata for my graduation exam, and your wonderful recording was the one I've listened to the most. It was really inspiring and full of rich interpretation insight. It's been years ago, but I still think it's one of the most deep and beautiful interpretations I've heard.Thanks a lot!

Scriabin, the romantic and this piece is in the beginning so introspective, private, like the thoughts slowly building before they fully connect and explode. At times still confused and fighting between each other before ending it in full agreement. . Strange way of seeing it?
