It would have been cool if when Sarada reveals who she is, and says to Itachi if you don't believe me use your Sharingan check my memories and you'll see the truth. Then he uses the Sharingan to access her memory is and he not only is able to confirm that she is in fact his niece he will see Sasuke and Sakura in the future and know what's going on and probably give her advice on how to approach a relationship with her father Sasuke. He would have been so happy to know he has a niece.
