Top class joinery it’s nice to c there’s still people out there that r prepared to pay for a proper piece joinery to made like this by a top class joiner like you in the traditional way it’s a refreshing break from the mass manufactured market that most people want nowadays

Great job here. We call that coping in the US. Just a 5 degree back bevel and it fits beautifully. We use disc grinders on site for the base and crown. Cheers from Montana

This is just amazing. I think you said you are painting this? So many others would get it close and cover up the gaps with caulk, not Oliver! Absolutely stunning and can't wait to see the finished transom.

Incredible work, im still not sure i could do that a tricky a joint not helped by the profile and weight and size of the timber. I hope your going to do the actual site installation.

Not too shabby at all😃 undercutting on the scribe its not a cheat.i mean you need somewhere for the excess glue to go, these first fits are great parts of the job.well done keep it up

looks like a Fisch drill bit to me Ollie - axminster did rebrand a lot of their stuff I think. they certainly look similar and my fisch bits have really lasted. Matt.

Beautiful work! Out of curiosity, why did you stop the tenons and not make them through tenons on the stiles?

in fairness with modern glues wedged through tenons aren't "necessary" and represent considerably more work. Back when we were using animal glues they couldnt be relied on after time so wedges mechanically guaranteed the joint
