I'm amazed at how powerful this tool is. Aside from the files this thing imports, and special short cut keys, this is a legit alternative to InDesign.

I'm learning book design, and I wanted to stop using InDesign, since it's a little silly (and expensive) to pay twenty dollars a month for Adobe Cloud when I only use one program from it. This series made my transition very smooth.

It is nice to see someone taking the time to show free softwares for productions like you and their features in a helpful manner. Keep up the good work! Also one thing that I think would be nice to talk about this software in particular is about the creation of interactive PDFs, at least the basics (I know that the full feature includes javascript).

Congratulations to the excellent videos about Scribus - and as well the Inkscape videos. I watched several of the Scribus videos but couldn't find an hint how to align a text e.g to an arc. Means I would like to have a text following the flow of an arc. How can I do that? TIA

Nice tutorial. You briefly touched on grids at the end. I'm having snap to grid and snap to object on but my text/image frames are snapping wrong. They are jumping to about 1/8th past the actual grid or guideline boundary. Would love to see a more indepth discussion of precise layout working with grids and guides. Subscribed

Hi Ibrahim. Yes, I think Scribus would work well for that. There is also LaTeX, that would be great for structuring a dictionary, but it is also more complicated to use.

Yes, please! I created a page with text and an image; the image doesn't print nor does it show up when converting to PDF. Desperately needing help figuring that out!

Thanks a lot man, great video series, and it was very helpful. After watching I must admit the UX seems a little quirky, I'm looking forward to that getting improved, but overall it looks very usable and has some nice features.
