Cool that Subaru had stuck with the old style licence plates in the late 1990s before they were phased out in 2000 and even cooler of Top Gear to get Richard Porter to test it.

Just listened to this in the car on Apple podcast. A really good and funny listen. Ordered his book as a result. Logged on here to be able to see what Sniff Petrol looked like. Thanks for making and uploading the podcast.

I can recommend Richard's book - I bought 3 and gave 2 away

Would have been awkward if you’d given 3 away 😂

Great podcast. Richard is a man after my own heart, very knowledgeable about all sorts of cars, from the pre 50s to modern days motoring.

Brings up some bad memories hearing Richard talking about ideas being stolen from job applicants. I went for a job in one of the big German car companies, and with less automotive experience than they were looking for, I told them about an idea I'd had. I was told I didn't have enough automotive experience and thanks for applying. Nine months later I was at the Frankfurt Motor show and saw my exact idea there on a prototype car from that vehicle manufacturer. I couldn't prove it and would have gone broke trying to sue them. Luckily, the idea never made it to the production car version of that prototype, so I didn't lose potentially millions.

It massively sucks, the amount it happens is ridiculous.

Sam tested a 911R with rear seats in New Zealand. I asked him for the owners contact info last great but he hasn’t replied. Also Elfer Motors in Germany does these conversions. elfermotors.de/porsche-991-gt3-touring-nachrüsten-der-rücksitzbank.html rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-gt3rs-gt2rs-and-911r/1132916-rear-seats-in-my-touring-yes-it-is-doable-4.html Khanh

911R owner is Rod Drury. Obviously a pretty difficult guy to contact... It's my understanding that his particular R came with the rear seats from factory

I love the comments section. Everyone is an expert, a moron and has a PhD in the subject in the video and knows nothing.
