I like the description. "It's like the country you see on TV..." I could feel my heart beat faster as you climbed those hills. No one can really appreciate just how steep Idaho can be unless they've hunted it. Great video! Great buck!

Great job you two! Ross I’m probably a bit older than you I’m almost 50yrs old an from my timber falling career when I was younger I have some old injuries that nag me everyday! And for you to push yourself and go beyond what you thought you could do is inspiring! Don’t know if I can do it like that but I hunt the way I feel more comfortable with. But what a hunt you guys kicked butt up in Idaho. My old home state! Miss Idaho so bad!
@DecisiveOutdoors5 жыл бұрын
Sir, can’t thank you enough for the comment! I’m glad you got something out of the video. I won’t pretend to be in the best shape anymore and I too have some injuries. Having great hunting partners made it possible. This hunt for me was more about pushing myself than anything. So happy you enjoyed it! Thanks again and best of luck to you on the mountain!

Guys very nice series. I’ve been wanting to hunt Idaho, but looking at what you hiked I will,have to consider a different unit. I hunt Washington state so climbing and hiking all day is nothing new but it will take a lot out of you. I’ve been hunting for seven years and have never shot a bull. Congrats!

Gosh I just love to see other peoples points of view on the country in the state I've hunted my whole life and I can say I love the size of the animals here they've got huge bodies and if get back in to the country deep enough they've got ridiculous horns/antlers I'm really glad yall got yourselves two bulls and a deer and that yall dont just cut the head off and leave the body to waste. 👍🏻

The first bull elk I ever killed, I picked up a happy birthday balloon maybe 3 minutes before he walked out of the trees broadside at 40 yards. Ever since than my wife and I believe in a thing called hunting karma when you find and pickup a balloon in woods. Too many stories to tell now..

Isn’t it illegal to have others send you locations of animals via radio in Idaho? Not trying to be a hater just hope you are legal in your tactics.
@DecisiveOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
“Idaho Code and Idaho Fish and Game commission rules do not prohibit the use of two way radios for hunting big game”

Pitiful, taking shots so far away at large animals that failure is assured! Your the kinda guy who can buy Sitka clothing and other expensive gear, but should really go to the zoo to see animals. Please leave your big rifle, that you can't shoot, at home! Another thing. When the viewers can see that your constantly tired when hiking, it affirms that your undisciplined and NOT PREPARED! Brian Call Gritty is who you should hire to train you before you pick up another camera and or another hunter in the local bar you drink at! Your father didn't teach you well! Sad that KZbin allows guys like you on the platform! Call Gritty!
@DecisiveOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Well sir, we appreciate every comment. Even ones as negative as yours. While I’m sure Brian would be flattered by your comments about him and his physicality, I do believe he would also say we lived out his brands intent. His bio states he’s created a brand that “inspires you to dig deeper and go beyond your comfort level”. That’s exactly what we did on this trip. Maybe that’s what you yourself were trying to do with your courageous comment here. I didn’t ask you to help me up the mountain, so I’m having trouble understanding why your so emotionally connected to my journey. Unless it’s because you realize that it’s because something like this is mentally out of reach for yourself. I welcome all feedback and I will be the first to admit the shots on the first deer I probably should not have taken. I learned a lot from that hunt. We broke no laws, we hunted ethically, and harvested great animals and even better memories. Your unhappiness I hope finds a place to go that doesn’t effect those around you. Ross
