The Swans are really nice! I used to raise different "fancy breeds" of pigeons until I was 14 years old.Trumpeters and Fantails mostly. So, I am partial to Doves. Enjoyed, take care my Friends!

What is the purpose of the wood beneath the brooch wood while it is on scroll saw?

You can cut out more than one at a time. A method called stack cutting. Cut two, three, four etc all at the same time.
