I disagree with what he's saying about that joke... Black People vs Niggas - if you're a intelligent person you'll understand what he's saying within the joke. Its about we as a People trying to Progress Positively and Carrying Ourselves in a Respectful Manner, Especially towards Each Other... but at times, there are those that insist on being Negative or involving themselves in some Borderline Criminal Behaviour. The Joke is to get you to "Think" - that's what his jokes do... Make You Think 🤔 🤷🏾♂️

True. Ultimately it’s not a Black people vs. Niggas issue. It’s a people with self-respect vs. people with no self-respect issue. Black people don’t have a monopoly on lack of self-respect. All cultures have that element, but people tend to point at the most obvious outward difference in them and the people they are criticizing to distinguish themselves from the behavior they are criticizing. If Chris Rock is wrong about anything in this matter it’s giving only the African-American perspective on his observation. Any comedian of another culture could make that same joke. Just substitute the N word for that culture’s version. But to tell Chris Rock he shouldn’t make that joke/observation is missing the whole point.
@junetynf5 жыл бұрын
Yeah but violent people with a little money let this ideology take over their psyche. It seemed like an emotional rant. A lot of very critical thinkers saw the possibility of a devil like Louis CK throwing it in Chris's face one day. Redd Foxx's version is better and cooler anyway😎

Then on film did LADY SINGS THE BLUES, BINGO LONG, THE WIZ, GREASED LIGHTNING, BLUE COLLAR, CAR WASH, STIR CRAZY, MOVING, SOME KIND OF HERO, WHICH WAY IS UP?, etc. Eddie Murphy is awesome, the true heir to Richard Pryor's throne. I think he is right. 💯 The only one of Rock's roles that was believable was the one in 'New Jack City.' He was always very stiff for some reason. The one with the French lady & her visiting family wasnt too bad tho, maybe bc he was so much older at that point. At the time, that black ppl/n joke didn't seem so bad bc the show had that 'just the family,' kind of feel to it, plus he did drop alot of truth during his stand ups. But knowing what I know now, its cringey. I also think it that it was wrong of him to put our business out there with 'Good Hair.' As much physical crap, judgement, teasing, rejection & grief that black women have gone through bc of the way our hair naturally looks & behaves.....he knew better than that. Ive never seen a theater released movie dedicated to talking about women's struggles & hair secrets from any other group. I felt that was an under the bus move too. But I wasnt surprised bc I always knew he had female issues. Talking about he did it for his daughter. Yeah, right. But his stand up was always lit. At least up until 'Kill The Messenger.' Idk what happened there. 🤷🏽♀️
