Imagine they built up or gave foreshadowing of beast gohan, while having it be a ultimate cell with even higher intelligence and strength, while having a dialogue because he kept all his memories. Making piccolo’s transformation have sensible lore to it and a proper catalyst to being it out as well. These 4 tweaks would’ve made the movie so amazing, damn near a masterpiece.

Loved Super Hero movie, and honestly speaking, I loved it a lot more than Broly and Frieza movies. That's just a personal take, and I like all three. *Edit:* I never really noticed, and it may be just my insight, but Gohan was really on that "I don't care" vibe, kinda like how he was in the beginning of this battle rap.

I think super hero is a great movie from piccolo and pan. Every time they on the screen is pretty great. I think the real problem is that ever since super started, the only the they have to say about Gohan is that every time shit goes down, that he been doing jack shit to stay ready for the fight to go down. Like they trying so hard to ride on the original super Saiyan 2 scene and bring that feel in but it's just not happening. The movie was pretty funny but anything that was about Gohan and cell max really brought it down. Also shout it to yah boy Vegeta who ended up getting the dub against Goku in the end.

I don't hate the idea of Beast mode at all, even though it does look kinda goofy. I just wish he achieved the form in a better way. Like it would have been so easy to just have Gohan train on Beerus' planet a bit and unlock god ki, then by fusing his god ki with his mystic form it would unlock the Beast mode. This way it would make a lot more sense, because the Mystic form is already a transformation he unlocked from gods, so it would feel way more natural and wouldn't even retcon what was said in DBZ.

It (His Transformation) didn't really come out of nowhere. Gohan literally said he's been training in secret in the movie. Especially during the Special Beam canon scene. If you remember during the Tournament of Power Gohan specifically said he wouldn't stop training so that he could protect his family. And as for the power up itself. Gohan said during the training for the T.o.P, he wanted to achieve a form that didn't totally rely on his Saiyan side alone. That's what I feel the fandom continues to miss when judging anything about this movie.

Love this but those Gohan transformations were mostly valid and some even had good buildup, before ssj2 we saw Gohan matching Goku fist for fist, and being the only one who could properly follow Goku during his fight with Cell, combine that with how lax Goku was leading up to the Cell Games, it was obvious Gohan was gonna be the one to finish Cell (Also there was the lil flashback to him achieving ssj2 in the time chamber with Goku). Ultimate Gohan was awakened by a literal god and after wielding what was thought to be the most powerful weapon in the universe and was also significant because it wasn't a ssj transformation. Beast Gohan was alluded to by Gohan in his sparring match with Goku before the tournament of power as "an ultimate form that no Saiyan has achieved before"

Jinzoningen can be translated as both Android and Cyborg (most accurately it's "Artificial Human"). Not every Jinzoningen is an actual Android. 17 and 18 are cyborgs. They were regular humans Gero kidnapped and modified. 16, 19, and the two Gammas are Androids. Humanoid robots, entirely mechanical. Cell and Cell Max are bioengineered organic creatures. 20/Gero is a human brain wearing a mechanical full body prosthetic. In other words, 18 did have everything she needed to hook up with Krillin from jump.

I thought Cell Max was perfect for the movie. They didn’t wanna focus on a villain they’d already had, it would take the focus off the characters they actually wanted to focus on. This movie was definitely about Piccolo, and I think it really benefited from that. Adding Perfect Cell and his interactions with Gohan would have detracted from the actual character interactions they wanted to focus on, and would have made it a worse movie. I think Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is my favorite Dragon Ball film, and it did everything right. I’m super happy with all the love Piccolo got, though I’m admittedly a little underwhelmed by Beast Gohan.
