Ngl I dont really blame durk for rapping about violence. He said he gonna stop naming dead people, which he did, but right after he said that people broke into his house, then last time he said he wanted to be more positive they killed his brother. Durk has lost so many people that I still feel bad for him even tho he raps about violence.
@bizzyk3032 Жыл бұрын
Dude, Durk got lots of songs where he is not dissing the dead or his opps. All love, If I could and Viral Moment and Granny Crib are a few examples

This reaction was great. We need to start holding more rapper accountable for pushing violent cultures to our youth.
@Momo-ow1ts Жыл бұрын
True but you can't blame them! Look at durk for an example he grew up in city were 20% of murders only get solved.... 80% murders goes insolved lost his cousin and brother and no one was arrested for it so it makes sense to be on that energie since anyone can get away with it and they be getting getback them self since Legal système ain't doing it ! So systeme needs to change 1st before blaming this nighaz cause they just a product of there environnement
@cito478 Жыл бұрын
That type of music won’t ever stop for as long as poverty and ghettos and all the shit that comes with living in a bad neighborhood. Rappers just want money and if they have to talk about violent shit to make it then they will. Holding the rappers accountable, I don’t think that will work. The labels are the ones pushing that kind of music and the people are the ones listening.
@FactFilesYT. Жыл бұрын

They rap about it like it’s cool, because it’s cool to THEM. If you grew up in that kind of environment, you would know there’s not a lot of positive things about living there. I understand there are some rappers that come out of the hood with a positive message but the exceptions don’t make the rules. Plus a lot of them are kids, kids that are mostly being guided in the wrong direction. Like I said you probably wouldn’t understand unless you came from that or at least tried to understand.

Durk actually has a lot of more positive/ normal songs than all that demon time no auto durk music, he literally used to get criticized and mocked for singing and being melodic, 7220 and the voice etc contain way more normal songs talking about his background and growing up than actual drill songs, but since most people tend to consume more aggressive music nowadays, that's mostly what you'll hear blow up

Facts I remember during that Durk and Dej era he had, people used be on his head about singing and being melodic
@5luelight726 Жыл бұрын
That’s what I was thinking. I don’t think it’s that surprising Durk would do a song like this, especially since he’s made references to becoming more positive in the past.

I grew up in the trenches and had to get it how we lived out the mud and want the complete opposite for them. But nowadays it’s harder cause you gotta worry about them at school now. When I was a kid that was our safe place from the hood stuff and now it’s not even that. I broke down when that incident in the Texas school happened cause I saw my kids in all those kids faces. This world is so evil now that kids aren’t even safe where they’re supposed to be. My best friend was killed on his birthday on his porch in a drive by the summer after 5th grade. I’ve been shot multiple times for loving that lifestyle. Now it’s different with kids. Never been afraid until these kids were born.
