I'm white, German/Italian descent to be specific. I agree whole heartedly with you. This song made me cry first listen. After each listen, it gets deeper, and deeper. So, so many layers and emotions to it. QUICK EDIT: To exemplify my feelings, he makes me proud for YOUR heritage. He also inspires me to grow as a human, even though I'm of different upbringing&culture. He is&will continue to be a Spiritual/Musicial/Poetic Legend.

For real, when I heard the drums and the keys come in for the first time my chest constricted and on the first two bars I was SOBBING already. Wrecked me, had to stop the track. Started listening to Pac when I was 12 (98', didn't know he was dead), that's mostly how I "learned" english. after all this time it is wild to feel this way, I can't really explain it, it's pain, pride and hope all bundled up together.

Facts you gotta be 25 and older to understand when Made Nggz made wit the Outlawz, and just energy around PAC and Death Row…there was rumors out that he starting Euthanasia label, etc. that was the track for the streets right before PACs demise. It’s one of those songs that is beyond hip hop…soon as you hear the first 10 seconds you can feel PACs energy. Dope ode to a legend…that’s how you do it, not using AI. Masterpiece of verses, and the third verse is a metaphor and demonstration of using music and culture for evil in the form of Lucifer. He humanized Lucifer…that’s wild. Dimensions…last but not least Isiah 14…God protects the Israelites. 👑

To me, this is the hardest song on the album ... I've listened to the album a few times, and I keep coming back to this. The fact that it's him talking about being reincarnated, and he Raps like 2Pac ( i caught it immediately..) over a 2Pac beat (made niqqaz)and what he's actually saying, the concept of the song; this shit is DOPE💯💯No if and's or but's about it .. 2Pac said I may not change the world, but I guarantee you I will spark the flame of someone who would.... those words are almost prophetic, listening to this song, reincarnated..💯💯🔥

@@computablu Personally, I don't see the Eminem references in this song. I think Eminem fans are stretching it and overlooking DMX (whom he also referenced recently on "Euphoria") whose song is an exact parallel to Kendrick's. As for the beat, flow, and vocal delivery it's all 'Pac. And, I am aware there are other rappers who's used the conversational back and forward format before, Notorious B.I.G.'s "Gimme the Loot" is another example of it.

You're ABSOLUTE wrong! This homage to ALL the greats: Verse 1-John Lee Hooker(1947-2001), Verse 2- Billie Holiday (1915-1969), Verse 3- Kendrick Lamar praying not to end up like them by staying away from the industry.....Dacca Records (The Devil is in the details)

I think he might be referring to John Lee Hooker, possibly Billie Holiday, and of course, Lucifer. He pays homage while also engaging in self-reflection and exploring the "what if" scenarios with Lucifer. His work is truly remarkable in a world where hip hop music is often dumbed down and seen as foolish.

The singer is to represent how deep Latino/ Mexican culture is rooted in LA’s culture and music. If you noticed, theres a good number of artists with Latino/ Mexican backgrounds in this album. He’s showing his appreciation for them doing what they was doing at a time when LA needed it. (If that makes sense)

Pac will always live on through his music and all of today's music artists that he has inspired, and all of us that grew up listening to his albums and passing on knowledge about Pac's music to the next generation, and the one that will be after that and so on. I know the big homie is proud and looking down and smiling right now and he knows he'll never be forgotten. Props to Kendrick too on doing suck an amazing job paying homage to the legend that is 2Pac. And think about it too, Pac is a legend. He was a huge part of what made hip hop what it is today. He started off in the mid 80's just a background guy for Digital Underground. It took him a minute to be able to break out from under Humpty's shadow. And when he first approached the labels about doing his own thing his sound was something nobody had heard so it was intriguing but they still tried to shut him down at first because at that time some of his very first projects like Brenda's Got a Baby were just considered too dark. He fought to be able to get the opportunity to get his music out there, and he became the Forerunner of Storytelling hip hop lyricism at its best. We all have 2Pac to thank today for the music that we love. RIP Tupac Amar'e Shakur🙏
