Fantastic lecture! I remember when Roger passed… I immediately purchased several of his books as a tribute to his memory. I am so glad that I did. His brilliant mind and warm spirit was a gift to the shallowness of our age.

Well, I have my grievance .... I was not abused as a child (or any other age for that matter) It is obvious that nobody in society had the decency and thoughtfulness to abuse me and thus give me a lifetime of grievance. I even knelt down in a church, my pink cheeks inviting .... but nothing .... nothing!

Referring to the last article I read by Lionel ( one of the last few I read before cancelling my Spectator subscription altogether) where she said she was going to vote Democrat despite how bad Joe Biden would be. She just wanted to see the back of Trump and "just wanted to be bored again". So Lionel, are you bored yet?

The subtleties just seemed to go right over the heads of the audience - did they turn up for the wrong gig? So many witty comments fell on apparently deaf ears.
