I am not whining at all lol. I'm 100% in favour of the Chimaera counter working - I think it's an appropriate place of being a heavy investment, skill based, not 100% - and costs banners. My issue was always that the latest, most expensive, and "META" fleet should not be dropping for 77 banners in GAC. They've largely addressed that. We can be happy and move on now.

I'm 0/5 with Profun vs Leviathan today, the same usual strategy... what was different vs your footage is that after they Isolate the Y-Wing, they focus everything on the Outrider and it dies immediately; my Dash is just R7, I guess he's slightly weaker than the Y-Wing and they focus the weakest ship

Yeah, my Dash is also R7. I've done it a couple more times now (and against the Sith Fighter). I've lost with Profundity once, so there's definitely RNG involved.

If CG actually tests their game all their big relases wouldn't be disasters when they are released. Its silly that Leviathan has been bugged for 2 months and they are just starting to fix it now, and the Leia event is buggy too. They must test these things in the future.

The isolate makes this even easier as falcon will only call outrider to assist, which is what you want anyway. It's how you can 2 man executor for basically max banners

But one of the big reasons you want to call Outrider is that it could crit multiple times, giving more upload and trigger more followup assists. With crits out of turn prevented, the value of calling outrider goes way down.

@@osets2117 True, calling outrider is still better than ywing. But without crits from outrider, it's just more damage. Back when it could crit, it was more damage and triple the chance to call more assists and extra upload. That loss outweighs the gain of guaranteeing outrider assists.

The problem with Profundity beating the Leviathan was not that the Profun was beating the Levi, it's that it was winning for 77 banners. They should have found a way to reduce the banners without making the battle so much more difficult (I tried 5 times yesterday and lost all 5).

Yup. This has always been my argument. Nothing should be beating the latest meta fleet for 77. I've only lost with profundity once out of 4 battles so far vs Levi...needs time to breathe to get a feel for the RNG I think.

Thanks for another informative video Scribble. However, the profundity counter seems ridiculously sketchy now. It looks like you had extremely fortunate RNG with the enemy AI still targeting Y-wing when isolated. I've tried the battle 8 times since buff, and all 8 times the enemy focused down Outrider in their first few plays and the battle was over in a minute. While I agree the Leviathan should be the top of the meta, this buff seems too extreme. CG are showing little respect to the heavy investment players have put into Profundity (R8 & R9) which is barely a year old. Hopefully the RNG gods will favour me soon.

It really is sketchy! I was pretty transparent here - this was first attempt and it just so happened to go fine. In reality it is not consistent. The chimaera counter is far more reliable from what I've experienced so far. I'm still happy as is, tbh I'd be happier if they found a way to make the Profundity more reliably counter the Leviathan, but have it cost a lot more banners than it would in the past. As it stands, I'd rather just use the Chimaera.

Tier 4 is the same as tier 2 of the Jabba event, just from the other side. Even the intro animation is the same. I wonder if they accidentally loaded the Jabba event tuning by mistake.

As Profu owner i'm agreed that Profun shouldn't be able to beat Levi without rf (that was too much).. So now they change it pure rng.. I just wish that they dont code sith ships go after OR when Y-wing is isolated.. that is cheap thing to do. And everything should be beatable some way even they are most expensive meta.. otherwise this game is dead fast

Yup, pure RNG. The problem, in my opinion, started with Executor - they gave this capital ship crazy firepower and a broken ultimate (instawin, basically). In order to match or beat that, the next ship - Profundity - had to have something to deal with the ultimate. Essentially, another ultimate that removes the capital ship. Now with Leviathan, the only way it can compete is if it can do something to stop the other capital ships from reaching ultimate...This is a problem all of CG's making, I think.

Pretty much! It's a tough spot they've put themselves in. I think they have to bring it full circle and have fleets that limit the rate at which other ships hit their ultimate. Short of giving them enough DPS to burst through a fleet before it hits its ultimate...@@puuzaa

Levi on Offence wrecks everything. Not just because you're controlling the battle, but also because Profundity on defense doesn't play it right (and neither does the Chimaera)

Pre-update I was 30-50% on profundity (if they got ult off first I think I only won once)....but videos like this where y'all are like, "it keeps losing," I was getting confused (as I've been keeping it for offense so far).

I hate when CG says "R5 so and so is required" and yet an R5 can only lose. They constantly set minimums for all kind of events, but when you meet those minimum requirements, you get slaughtered. You have to go way above the minimum to have any chance. If they're going to do that, just tell us the real the minimum. Don't lie to us and give us the expectation that we try it at a certain level when there's no way to succeed. If this event can only be beaten by a R9 Boussh, then make the event require a R9 Boussh.

Endor Escalation 3 looks fairly boring, especially compared to Smuggler's Run II rewards. If Endor Escalation is still only once a month (and the EE tiers are also only 1 run each) then this is certainly nice to have, but nowhere near as rewarding as Smuggler's Run II, especially if you roll a few 0s on those relic mats. After a year, you could end up with half an omicron for owning GL Leia..... yay.... Hopefully the event comes around more often and they remove some of these 0s...

Potentially can happen when they run with the Sith Fighter in the starting lineup, but you should only need 1 reinforcement which you should always beat the profundity to, provided you have your Thrawn at least at R6 with 6e mods.

I lost 4 times - same method like yours - with profundity. I don't like the changes as the 4, 5, 6 stars are not included. Profundity was amazing already with 4 stars. This one is lame till you get the 7 stars and then it is totally overpowered. You simply got lucky this time. Next step you can only go for boring mirror matches. Are these fights now more easy? Yeah, there's heavy RNG in the profudnity counter now. Chimaera seems very reliable, though (at least for me). The mirror match is pretty simple - if they use dagger, you use sith fighter. if they use sith fighter...hope that your ship is faster or wins the coin flip. The mirror sucks.

i don't understand why you're mad that profundity beat the "new shiny thing" (remember the rock, paper, scissors concept?) executor beats profundity, profundity beats executor.... i've even lost to the executor w/ leviathan cuz of a misclick... personally i'm more upset with the fact that a ship from the 5v5 META beats it... albeit, that it involves hard to get ships... every end game player should have them (without a significant investment)

I'm not mad at Profundity beating Leviathan. I'm all for it. however, it should come with a cost - I.e. the success rate is low, or the banner cost is high. Profundity counter is OK now as the risk is pretty high, before it was countering Leviathan with a 90%+ win rate for 77 banners. That in no way reflects the value or cost of the ship, diminishing its worth entirely and making it an offense only ship. As the newest, most expensive, and "META" ship, that should not happen. The fleet scene did not need another offense only fleet - we have plenty of fire power to take any fleet comp down already. Rock, paper, scissors doesn't even come into play here. There were already 4 counters to Leviathan before this fix. The fix is good.

@@sno989 hits from sith fighter gives capital ship TM and it gets to ultimate faster. Sith fighter starting line up used to be bad against profundity coz it dies easily. But since assists cannot crit now, my shardmate’s R9 pilot made it unkillable at the start. So usually they get to ultimate 1st. Or worse, kill outrider coz Ywing is isolated.

It's OK to disagree. I will never be of the opinion that the most expensive and latest fleet in the game should be 77 bannered in GAC with ease. The Leviathan is not a Kraken or Whale ship in the slightest. Free to play has nothing to do with this - only time invested. The argument is that why would anyone farm the Leviathan if the previous META destroys it? There's no reason for it, you may as well get the Profundity instead and have the best offensive and defensive fleet in the game.

Beating it isn't the issue. Beating for 77 banners kind of sucks, though and really shouldn't happen imo. I never said it should be unbeatable. I'm totally happy with Chimaera being able to beat it, Triple attacker exec has some use too. Even profundity now has an opportunity to beat it for good damage.
