74. September 2, 1993 (Late Show #4). Martin Short, having finished his Broadway show "The Goodbye Girl"; Song: "Broadway Is a Lady" (some of it based on the melody of Frank Sinatra's "L.A. Is My Lady"; it ends with a touch of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" ).
And a twenty-two year-long tradition is born with the first parody rendition of Sinatra's 1984 recording.

Give Don a break. In answer to your complaint, Martin Short appeared on Letterman maybe 40 times, far, far more than any SCTV alum. Rick Moranis disappeared from show business after his wife died. That was maybe 30 years ago. BTW Don, I love your videos. Keep up the good work.
