The main takeaway from this incredible archive of clips is that if you are an aspiring stand up comedian in the early stages of your career, and you put your weight behind a project which you call ‘Buddies’, nobody will watch or remember it 😅

I loved Madeline Kahn in “Paper Moon,” “Blazing Saddles,” and “Young Frankenstein,” but this was a very difficult interview. I wish Letterman had a blood pressure cuff on during it so we could see the readings.

I didnt realize Hiram has passed. I seen him, annie potts, jay leno during taping of letterman september 1987. I think ut was the 28th. Horam was there as a guest, and performed.

Wow. First time viewing this. What a mind blower! According to what the description showed, 13 years 10 days later, destiny is changed. So precious memories saved for posterity. For some things : What was, can never be. Again.

I went to high school 1975 thru '77 and SD was my go-to favorite, along with Boston, Frampton, Kansas, Queen, and all those fantastic bands we were blessed to have back then. Hell, I wore out two SD 8-tracks! Who didn't love 'Aja'?! I finally got to see this great band in person in Charlotte NC in 1996 and loved it! I've been to over a 100 concerts in my 66 years but Steely Dan was the best! Well, maybe a close second to Pink Floyd! 🤔😂 RIP Walter Becker 🎼❤

Chris looks more like some embittered costume jewelry maker from the seventies, still occupying the same space at the Arts and Crafts Mall (a record, actually), hanging in there, but ready still with a wan smile, a beard, and wearing still another wonderful pendant creation for the show. To me, anyway.

@38:00 *Almost* sounds like the title of his 3rd book (pork chops reference). George said, after the relase of the 3rd book, that his brother loved the title "When will Jesus bring the pork chops" because in 1 sentence, he was able to offend all of the 3 major religions. You could say that sentence including all 7 deadly sins was the precurser.
