Scuba Diving The Aquatic Sanctuary Of Cook Island Australia 🇦🇺
In this episode, Holly and Mark head down to Gold Coast for a few days, with only one thing on their mind and that is to go scuba diving!
They head over to join the crew at Gold Coast Dive Adventures for the 20 nautical mile trip south to dive Cook Island!
Cook Island, formerly Cooks Island, Turtle Island and Joong-urra-narrian, is an island in the Australian state of New South Wales located on the state's north coast about 600 metres north-east of Fingal Head and 4 kilometres south-east of the town of Tweed Heads.
This amazing island is an aquatic reserve, meaning it is a protected reserve with lots of amazing marine life, including wobbegong sharks and 200-300 resident green sea turtles!

Amazing video. Love the Wobbegong sharks, and of course the Green Sea Turtles. I was very happy last month in the Florida Keys to see a BUNCH of Sea Turtles. Greens, Hawksbills and even a Leatherback. Very good to see the increased numbers over years past. I love Holly's commentary on Damsel fish. They are brave little nibblers. I always get a good giggle when they nip you on the leg... 🥰 Love your videos, looking forward to the next one. Dive safe! 🙂

Oh man, yesterday Mark got destroyed by one of those wee nibblers on the HMAS Brisbane wreck. Had covered in blood with the aggressive one in the control room. They defo brave 😆

I lost my job (company cut the position) a couple of months ago, so I’ve been enjoying the summer while looking for another job. At least the timing was perfect! OMG we are so sorry to hear about your job. Hopefully, something comes up, which is better for you! But perfect timing to go explore and enjoy your summer at least. Yeah we are enjoying Australia. It is hard to make content due to the limited dive sites at the shop we work at, and the hours we do are crazy. Are days off are when we are cancelled due to the weather and most shops on the Eastern seaboard are all cancelled when we are 😆 typical.

Hey, this was all filmed on GoPro 11 and the macro shots were with Backscatters macro lens for GoPro.

@@BlueHorizonDiving awesome! I didn’t even know they made a macro lens for the GoPro. I just made a video on diving the USS Oriskany here in Florida and zoomed in my shots on the Cup Coral in post. I’m going to look into these lenses. Thank you.
