Current sounded super strong. Reminds me of Komodo, Indonesia. Have you dived there? Can't wait to see the dolphin video!
@BlueHorizonDiving Жыл бұрын
Yeah the currents were ripping. Apparently it was 5-6 knots on the dive. It was epic! Hope to dive Komodo in near future. Thank you for watching as well.

It really was fast. Holly commented that I was swimming with the current, but actually I was angling across it. As we went over the top of the ridge into the protected valley with the sharks, we had been told not to miss the hand grab or you would be swept away from the group. I was so paranoid about this that I was finning like crazy to get on target for my chosen grab point!

i have a ticket to Tahiti for 1 month what dive places do you recommend? i love sharks / turtles/ dolphins and other exotic fish
@BlueHorizonDiving Жыл бұрын
I would 💯 recommend going to Rangiroa to dive Tiputa Pass. Dolphins and sharks everywhere. Also to Fakarava to dive South Pass to dive the wall of sharks. Diving with 700 sharks is insane and amazing. We have video on it too. Both dives have a fast current through the pass. So ensure happy to dive in strong currents.

ty i dont have a problem with strong currents but if there are strong upwells or downwells then this would be a problem for me. are there strong downwells there?@@BlueHorizonDiving

I have been most fortunate to dive Tiputa Pass in Rangiroa and in Tikehau (saw good sharks there) as well. They are both awesome.
@BlueHorizonDiving Жыл бұрын
Oh we completely understand on down currents. We never experienced any down currents when there. Just strong superman flying style currents which were awesome.

They are both truly special and so amazing. Would love to go back!

The calf came so close to me, then mum came over and kinda shoo’d me away, then herded the calf off toward the surface. It was SO COOL.
