How old is this video? I used one these back in 1992 at UTC, now a subsidiary of Raytheon.

Thanks! There's a solution, this helped me find it.

There is a firmware version of A, B, & C, the C uses the switch in the back, but they claim rev A has a switch internal, I looked all over and there is no switch. Any ideas how to get into Cal mode for A version?

+Paul Crissman Below are some details for the different firmware version A calibration and storage: Calibration Enable If you have Revision A level software, then there is an internal calibration jumper plug that enables permanent storage of calibration constants. The meter is shipped with its internal calibration jumper in a disabling position. In this position, calibration cannot be done. The jumper must be placed in its enabling position to allow calibration. Proceed as follows: 1. Remove the top cover. 2. The calibration jumper is located in the middle of the mother board right behind the shield. Move the calibration jumper from position A to position B. 3. Replace the top cover; plug the line cord back in and turn the instrument on. Calibration Storage Revision A Software To store the calibration constants, simultaneously press the REL and dB button until the message STOR is displayed. If the new calibration constants are not stored, they will be lost when the unit is turned off. If it is desired to disable front panel calibration place the calibration jumper in the appropriate position. Hope this is of some help. Louis

I found that jumper and it seems to do nothing, but also the "REL" button seems to have no effect at all. I suspect that the REL button not working might be the problem. Thanks for your help.

+Paul Crissman Yes agree it could be a fault button. Did the "REL" button work on the meter under normal usage?

No, it doesn't, guess I'll have to see what's wrong. Hope it's not one of those carbon trace things.

I just took it apart and the rubber button has one of those conductive black rubber dots on it. It reads real high and the other buttons are low. So I will get some spare rubber dots that I saved from scrap and change the rubber dot. This might fix it.
