Cool I fancied making a small modular heroquest style set of tiles and gubbins, I never liked the flimseyness of my card and foam ones

THANK GOD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL!!!!!! I'm a terrain guy too and just starting out in blender. I have gotten wildly varying opinions on how difficult it is to work in blender and sculpting falls into other areas like color and lighting which has NOTHING to do with a miniature sculpture to place on the table top!!! Its such a relief to her a regular guy talking about using blender for wargaming!!!! Needless to say I subscribe IMMEDIATELY!!! what version of bleeder are you running? We are running 3.12 I believe. THANKS SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!

Thanks. I'm glad you found the video helpful. This video is a bit on the older side, so I'm running a release from the 2.8 branch. I have upgraded to 3.0.X and I might have used that in a more recent tutorial, but I don't remember. In general, I'm often a version or so behind because I don't like upgrading software in the middle of projects. Blender is pretty good about not screwing things up between releases, but other software is not.

@@RockoRobotics Looking forward to binge watching!!! I got less than 5 hours of sleep last night and have 50 hour work weeks. How long have you had the terrain itch? I have about a thousand videos but mostly back in the beginning. I did a succubus hell palace table a while back. and recently built a 6 foot by 18 foot table down stairs. Looking forward to seeing your work and thanks for making blender seem easier to understand:)!

I’ve been playing miniature games for close 20 years and started building terrain for them around that time. Before that it was mostly Battletech, which didn’t require a whole lot of terrain construction.

@@RockoRobotics I think I'm going to try and make some walls and doors for some dioramas.
