Knarb, this is such a WILD new way of sculpting to me! Fantastic job showing it and not to mention, going from concept to reality! FINE JOB! The gentleman who is converting one of my new character designs into 3D/CAD is using a VR approach as well. It must be where sculptors are heading lately.

Seize the means of production comrades! in all seriousness though this is incredible, I plan to also sculpt models for my setting that has several main time periods which mimics our own so I need to have both realistic and grounded models based on reality while also giving them that sci fi/ (insert)-punk look to them for their time period/faction and sculpting is probably the only real way I can get what I want for that. Seeing a video like this is helping me break the barrier and try sculpting minis my self in blender, especially models you don't think about like aircraft technicians etc for dioramas in my setting.

Hey Knarb, I just wanted to let you know how continually impressed I am with your content. As an aging wargamer, I've often lamented that the minis hobby community can have a tendency to be very reactionary. In contrast, you're a fantastic example of someone who combines all sorts of techniques, new and old, to do amazing work. Gorgeous mini!

My goodness! Heavens yeah man!!! Hahaha, I really enjoyed seeing your workflow with Adobe Medium. It has inspired my dad and I to take a deeper look into getting an oculus and getting ahold of Adobe medium to learn how to create our own tabletop stuff. one tip: you can set the pose to neutral, finish the model, then cut the arms, import different weapons/tools/assets, and adjust to how you want a pose, and save them individually without having to re-do anything. each time you want to make a new one, just cut arms, adjust, add weapons, smooth the joints, and save as new EDIT: I commented this too early lol you mentioned that - good work overall!

Wow, this is seriously an impressive video!! Having put a non-trivial amount of hours into Medium, I can obviously tell how much practice and experience you've put into doing organic forms, amazing job!! The model turned out excellent! BTW, a cool sequel to this video would be dividing and keying your model into multiple parts, that giant deserves to be giant!

Frank Frazetta! Yeah! That Oculus VR headset for sculpting is major league cool, Knarb! Excellent work on the skull. I also like how you really take the time to figure out the best way to add additional supports after the auto-support function has run. Nice. This is fantastic sculpting work, I'm sure that it'll look amazing after you paint it!

I'm not an artist by any means. I can't draw, and I'm struggling with figuring out how to use programs like Blender (so many female minis/3d models out there are very nsfw and in poses that you really can't kitbash). This is really amazing, even if not monetarily feasbile. I'd love to see more tutorials on how you've used Blender and such for your other makes as well. Keep up the great work, Knarb!

What model did you use as a reference for the skeletal and muscle structure of humans? I've been using adobe medium for about 2 years now, but have only been using reference images. The model looks fantastic for referring too when dealing with muscle placement and overall form.

@KnarbMakes
@KnarbMakes Жыл бұрын
Adobe Medium on the Oculus CV1 (the one from 2018) It was rather easy to sculpt but it takes a beast of a CPU to churn through the details once you upscale the resolution to this level and work with a lot of layers.

Do you take commissions? I want custom made proxies for my entire 2000 point 40k space marine army. I'm looking for a unique space marine for every model, nothing but space Marines. Bet whatever you quote is still cheaper than what I'd pay gw for models. 🤣🤣🤣
