Good stuff man. One of the tools I use in my arsenal is that little girl clay, Sculpey! I know it's complete shit, but for grabbing textures, it travels well and once baked, works great for transferring those textures later. When I have to make something fast that I will cast in bronze, I'll blast it out in sculpey, bake it and pull a cheap plaster of paris mold. From there it's into wax, investment and I'm pouring bronze quickly. When I'm done, the plastic goes right in the trash!

Cheers, yeah it's a good idea. I wondered whether it would strong enough but it sounds like it is. I'll have to give it a go. I've always been interested in bronze casting, I'll be checking out some of your vids :)

I reckon a good follow on video to this would be to discuss are the pros and cons of the various types of clay you have used over the years and related thoughts, reusable versus the types that are intended to harden etc. How they might compare to good old pasticine as it is likely everyone is familiar with that as a common baseline etc. .. Just a thought and one I hope you might entertain :)

@@thedarkpower .. cool, I look forward to seeing it, although it would be good to hear your thoughts on other clays too :) .. Another thought that springs to mind is what anatomy books you're a fan of, I really like George Bridgman's works in this regard. I reckon there are a number of videos you could do in the educational vein such as a discussion on the variety of silicon molding rubbers etc. anyhow, just a thought, your videos are already quite educational as well as very inspiring too !
