I've been running some tests with the RPG and am encountering different results. Up close, the new mechs do take about 10 rockets to disable. However, at extreme ranges, I find that I am disabling them in 3 or 4 shots. When I say extreme range, I mean far enough away, where they look at me but don't react. I've been able to replicate this a few times with the RPG but not with the AT4 Launcher. I was trying to see if anyone else had similar results but all other videos are up close fights.

Pretty sure they screwed up and gave the RPG too much dmg. It's just one of the many things that will need a hotfix/patch to correct (because they don't do any testing).

And if I'm correct about the RPG imbalance, it means the loot that the mechs drop is still not worthwhile either way you look at it. Perhaps they meant to reduce the HP on the mechs as well and had another oversight on that in this build. Who knows. The only thing that's certain is that after a SCUM update drops, you can expect a bunch of hotfixes to follow.

@@jmarino715 The RPG in real life is most effective at 40 to 300 meters anything closer and the rocket won't accelerate enough to penetrate (yes i know it works by propelling a molten jet into the armor, but speed also factors in) anything further and the rocket propellant runs out and turns the rocket propelled grenade with a impact fuse on the front, into a grenade with a fuse on the front, in other words gl hitting anything past 300m

Great video. I was able to get one in about 7 rockets. I don't know where I was hitting him though. Just that it was looking at me and shooting. I was set up in defilade and he couldn't hit me.

I turned off sentries in singleplayer cause they are abit gamey and spongy for me … and seeing this now I understand why thanks even the trader options are still kind of uneven unless they are planning to add more missions from the traders that will be a cashcow like killing the mechs - or killing npc’s - not animals npc’s they might introduce

Also, you do not buy the game (to do that you need to buy the development company) - what you buy is a license to use the game software and play the game. Read the EULA of EVERY software you pay for - they all say the same thing.

Ok, we pay for right to play and have game on PC like many others. They need to write that big fact in main screen with other explanations; that new version will erase everything you have and back you to ZERO in multi and single mode, and, also, on the page where you look for the game on STEAM. Just shoot them in the back, they die after 4 rockets. An correct hit ignites the mech and they stay on fire for a time

I'm glad that at least someone else agrees with me. The mechs are literally the dumbest thing they have in SCUM and it's really only because the devs have no talent and don't have the first clue how to script/run an event/scenario to put these things in a gameplay loop that actually makes sense. The best they could do is small patrol routes it seems, and that's how we wind up with them just slapped onto the map as glorified security guards. These things belong in some kind of epic boss fight in an arena or at the end of some kind of instance/dungeon or something - not to be some stupid minigame at every damn POI with worthwhile loot. And you can cheese them so easily too - literally not a threat at all once you get used to them (assuming you don't get one of the many bugs/desync issues in this game while encountering them). All these slow learners out here be like "WOO WEE YAY- NEW MECHS!" while I'm just sitting here shaking my head thinking to myself "this is just the same old garbage with a little bit of added polish". It must be nice to be a part of the population who don't have much experience with programming/gaming to see what's going on here, but for the rest of us: what's been going on with the development of SCUM is just straight-up brain cancer.

It would be cool if the rockets would stun lock them, or at least, if it took less than 10. Theres got to be a balance here somewhere, right? Bases can be decimated by rockets, and will often have better and more varied loot. Destroying mechs is a lot more work than just sneaking past them. There's got to be a middle ground. Edit: should wait until at least half wau through your videos to comment, but i still think its a touch unbalanced. Love the new loot rework though, makes a ton more sense as far as i've seen.
