Another hot tips. Dont build you cabin too close to your walls. I jumped into a base and destroyed all their cars because i could not pick the lock and jumped back out off the cabin.

few more tips Use car for log transportation, you can load 5 logs into a car + one you can hold in your hands as there is a bug allowing you to enter a car while holding a log, this way you can transport 6 at a time, which is so much faster Dont put lesser locks on your door, locks cant be be upgraded or removed and if its a cabin door, you cannot destroy it unless you destroy a whole cabin, so if you put a rusty locks at the start, you have to stick with them forever, so its much better to wait for 200 fame locks instead

You don't have to pick up the logs, you can shift them across the floor while in your inventory screen. Just walk forward and drag the logs across the screen by clicking on them and dragging the item upwards and letting go. You can do this with quite a few logs at once. Really easy.

So to snap you need to build it first then you can snap the next BP to the one you just build or can you just snap BP and snap them while laying them out?

So i didnt have to walk every log and be so close to trees. I used a car. you can fit 5 logs into a car and carry 1 when you drive. So 6 logs per haul is not bad. Not sure if that was mentioned.

when building a Base can you lay traps either in the ground or on top EG bear traps ect around your base to protect it from other players ?

Great video. Free tip. If you are doing this solo, get a truck or ATV first. You can use it to move logs 5 at a time. Hugely reduces your build time.

For bases you need high intelligence so set that high! Fame is used for lock picking and respawns :)

Best way to move logs, pick one log up and carry sure, but then press tab and move each log at top left up and keep doing so will move the logs in front of you, roughly 4-5 logs you can consistently move crouched without having to move backwards and readjust, your welcome.

If you don't have a car to transport logs, make a chest and put the logs in there, then drag it along in inventory mode (you can still move just not mouse-look).

I did learn it the hard way so yeah keep your flag extremely safe because if somebody destroys it he can destroy everything from your base like it would be his own and make like 2 defence walls because 1 wall can be overjumped by jumping on a car so build 1 wall and barbed wire behind it and the another wall. Next thing is don't build your base at a position where enemy's can look inside like when they go on a hill, rock or something because then they can easily shoot your car. If you are alone it's better to claim doors from buildings in towns and fortify the windows it's much less time and resources needed.

Don't build flag first. Build your cabin first and put locks on it. Build flag in cabin.
