Firstly, I loved the painted pup miniature in the colours of the hound's tooth. Secondly, great Slave 1 engine noise from Devin, and thirdly, that was a tense finish to the match. Really great barrel and you guys should definitely do more of these!

At about 4:00 Tycho is boosting and performing a barrel roll afterwards. That would require "Push the limit" which you didn't have. Which is a shame because Tycho really needs it. Edit: Same thing at 15:30 with another ship... Focus plus Expert Handling. Which you would need PTL for. Which would give you stress in addition to the stress you'd get from Expert Handling because A-Wings can't normally do a barrel roll. Edit: 23:14, 24:37 - you can't re-roll dice that have already been re-rolled. Fundamental rule of the game. Edit: 33:55 - you can't shoot at ships in base-to-base contact.

This was an excellent batrep, thank you guys. My reasons are: It was entertaining, fun to watch, informative, especially after the clarification comments below. One can learn and absorb far more from mistakes being explained, rather than everything being done correctly first time. I am very new to this game and this clip has only 'fuelled' my enthusiasm to regularly play it and get right into the nuances required to enhance the FUN factor! Well done! PS, Devin sounds a little like Jessie from Breaking Bad. 😄😉

Thanks for the Star Wars coverage! I recently picked this up and am having a ton of fun with it. That paint on the Z-95 is great! Rules nit pick...I did see a die rerolled twice at 23:08, even if you have multiple reroll effects you can't do that. Dice can be modified by multiple effects, but a die cannot be rerolled more than once.

Great game guys, really enjoyed it. Never seen such an amazing comeback! Just a couple of rules things I wanted to point out. Firstly, you cannot re-roll a dice twice in one attack. So when Bubba attacked at range 1 he shouldn't have been able to re-roll because of range and then again from the target-lock. Also, when the pup deploys from the Hound's Tooth, it gains the pilot ability of the original pilot which you did right. However, the critical damage card it received states that it loses its pilot ability so it shouldn't have been able to change the crit into two hits against the A-wing at the end, which very nearly destroyed it (not a good way to win a game). Finally, you cannot target a ship which you are in base contact with, which is how the game ended. Hate to be the guy that picks it apart but all of these things had big impacts on the game. Still was a great game, though. Hope there are plenty more of these soon! :)

+Devin Manning There was also a moment when an a-wing barrel rolled into a debris field. As far as I'm aware, after you measure for it, if there is not enough space for you to complete a barrel roll action without hitting anything then you may not barrel roll. You can still go back and perform a different action you just can't complete the roll. On the flipside, you also can't measure the roll first and decide against it, so if you find you do fit after measuring the roll you have to commit to the roll. Again, don't like being the guy pointing out what was done wrong but hopefully it's constructive criticism. :)

+Peter Martin Good comment but I must correct you about one thing. The official answer from FFG about the question if the Pop retain any modifiers on the HT's piloting skill and pilot abilities is that the pop uses the pilot skill and pilot abilities printed on the HT's card. All modifiers like critical damage and upgrade cards are discarded including "Veteran Instincts" and "Damaged Cockpit". It's not yet in the FAQ, but it's in the forums. I looked it up yesterday.

I'm really glad you guys are doing X-wing bat reps now, but you guys could use a little brushing up on the rules. The A-Wings performed 2 actions several times in this game without Push the Limit or Experimental Interface. When deciding whether a shot is obstructed, draw a line berween the clisest corners of the ships, if that line does not cross an obstacle the shot is not obstructed (good example at 28:23). if you program a red maneuver into your dial when you slready have a stress token, you opponent gets to program a different maneuver into your dial. A ship landing on or moving through Debris recieves a stress token as well as rolling a red dice for the crit. Once again, glad you're doing this, just a few snafus.

+Carl Arnold you can still shoot but you just can't shoot the ship you are touching as in abstract terms you are actually above or below that ship. The exception is Arvil as his pilot ability allows you to do just that.

Awesome game guys. Just be aware that Bossk turns a crit into two hits before dealing damage, not after rolling dice. So you cant force your opponent to dodge more hits, you have to get that crit through the dodges FIRST then turn it into 2 damage.

For direct hit, you do not deal a 2nd damage card, the card just counts as 2 damage. The crit that the Pup took at the end both ignores the pilot ability (ie what's printed on the card) and any elite upgrades (which the Pup did not have).

You can't barrel roll onto obstacles unless you're Dash Rendar :)

Good game! Just an observation, but if you do a barrel roll, you can't complete it if you would overlap another ship / obstacle.

Nice Report, but Boosk's ability doesnt work like that. It's after the attack hits, meaning after the defender has rolled his dice. So when tycho got shot, he should have not taken any damage, since he dodged the inital two hits.

I don't know why everyone is so negative about this. Games are about having fun, a couple rules missed doesn't matter, it's not a tournament, no money on the table that I can see... I did see 2 guys having a blast and a game that came down to anyone can take it. Basically people, don't be "that guy". And great video!

22:59 you re-roll a defense die using Boba Fett, then proceed to re-roll for a target lock, but you also re-rolled the one from Boba, you can only re-roll a die 1 time per turn.... so you guys know.... just saw another thing, When you all-stopped Bossk, then attempted a red maneuver, your opponent gets to choose any move on your dial for you to perform... Guys, read the rulebook again, I saw several more mistakes and I think your experience could be much better, you used a focus token at the end that you didn't have, also the final blow was impossible to make, since the 2 ships were in contact. So I just want to point out that Bossk's Pilot ability happens after you confirm a hit, after the defender rolls his defense dice you can chose to deal 2 reg damage instead of a critical hit. Also Boba Fett's Ability works on both defense and attack dice.

When you are touching ships, Both ships can not shoot at each other so at the end of your game when the pup bumped the a wing, the a wing would not get that shot. FA rule book page 9. Also a die that has been re-rolled cannot be re-rolled again. FA rule book page 12. I think there were a few times where you guys re-rolled dice multiple times in the same attack. Lastly when you barrel roll and hit a obstacle or bump a ship you have to take back the move, you don't get to complete it. You can try a different direction as well. This also happens if its a boost. Also if you bump while doing a K, Segnors turn or Talon roll you don't get to turn the ship around.

+brandon hopfensperger Not true. You can modify (with tokens, abilities and whatnot) as much as you like. You ca only re-roll a dice once. So you can target lock some dice and then use a focus on them. It's why push the limit and having two actions a turn rocks so much.

1. Tycho 'pushed the limit' the first turn so he should have received a stress token and not have been able to perform the k-turn the following round. 2. Bossk's ability is not being played correctly (you can only turn a crit to 2 hits if the attack already HITS) 3. Flying over debris also gives you a stress - this was missed on multiple accounts. After watching this video for 10 minutes I couldn't bring myself to watch the remaining 25 mins. It's really a shame that you guys don't have the rules down pat, because I actually think your video format is pretty decent. Bottom line: If you're going to make a video bat rep, at least know how the game is played.

+Sheepdog416 gonna preface this by saying its great to see people playing and I am greatful for having batreps to watch when I cant get out an play myself! (i really dont like vassal :/ ) Keep it up and I hope these points can help you improve your game some :D Since this has the most listed on it Ill add here... - the boba fett player wasnt using his ability to reroll the attack dice in the beginning at least. (you can do attack and defense you dont have to choose one or the other) - Bossk only changes crits to hits AFTER it has hit... so you cant change the crit to a double hit until after the defender rolls the green dice and at least a crit makes it through the defenders dice/evade tokens. (wanted to elaborate a bit on Sheepdogs point) - laying a proximity mine takes place after the maneuver (during action step). around 14:00 it seemed like you were implying it was before. - if you barrel roll or boost into debris then you cant complete the move. you have to take it back and do a different action/go a different direction. - 23:10 you rerolled with boba and then used target lock to reroll your dice including the one you rolled with ability. You can only reroll each die once per turn, no matter how many difference effects you have allowing mutiple rerolls of dice. -red while stressed allows your opponent to choose your move (still has to be a non red move) not sure if you knew this when the 2 bank was chosen. -I would have to read the rules on the pup to be sure but I am pretty sure the crit that makes you lose the pilot ability would keep you from using bossks ability on the pup at the end. -while you can still shoot while bumped, you cannot shoot the ship you are bumped into (this includes the ship that was bumped as well as the ship that bumped. (so the shot at the end by the A wing wouldnt happen) Just a couple tips: -while i personally dont like opportunist and would suggest a different skill for Fett (I think its fine to play with if you want to though)... however you should be careful how often you use it. There were many times opportunist was used when it would have been much better to stay stressless for a turn in order to set up either a k turn or allow a white maneuver plus still getting the action. Also, while glitterstim worked out well for you there were more opportune times to play it. Especially on Fett, it is very powerful when you are in the mix and surrounded by enemies. That allows boba to get rerolls AND flip eyes with the glitterstim, even if you had no action or decided to take an evade. Then stim would help you weather the return fire (since rerolls plus focus effect on all the green dice is fantastic) - hotshot blaster was used at a really bad time. You had really good shots on ships in front of you and since hotshot is a one use, you should save it for a time where it is really needed (later in the game when the A wing was behind you being a good example of this.

I really dont like the way some of the new shows are distributed. Holding every other show hostage behind a paywall really doesnt seem like the way to go. I prefered the way the vault was before (especially with the 40k stuff): offering additional content for those willing to pay extra while still giving you the game itself. But I dont want to be forced to join the vault just to see the shows I like...

If you had been learning the game, the mistakes you made would have been acceptable. Considering you are a channel that is dedicated to war gaming, and as such, offering up examples of play styles, you should know the rules. You made far too many mistakes. Please learn the rule and practise playing properly before you upload another video like this. It's people like you that cause veteran players to be hassled by newcomers who think they know it all because they saw it on youtube. Learn the rules if you want to set an example and be looked up too.

Mistakes where made, they are still learning but in the end who cares they still had fun. It is only rules lawyers like you who get their panties in a knot rather then giving some constructive criticism like others have. You have to make mistakes to learn.
