Same here bro! I was in 7th or 8th grade when I got my Xbox 360 with Bo2 and I immediately fell in love. Played that game 12 hours a day on a huge 50+ inch TV 😂 I had over 300 days played on that game and Scump was my idol lmao. League play was my shit! I got up to Master Rank 1 and felt like I was Scump haha oh man the good old days. 😢

What struck me as a parent of a young kid, was watching scump take the time during events to sign autographs and pose for pictures with kids, much respect for being a decent human being and never forgetting the fans, those moments mean more to kids than he will ever know. Same I had the opportunity to goto a Lan in PA when I was 16/17 during AW whole trip was paid for by a org but my sister thought it was something to kid nap kids so my dad said no😑 gave up comp before I hit 18 bc I had to grow up and get a job cuz I got booted out at 18. After 4 years I picked back up the sticks not starting great at 9-18 on gbs but we grinding

Totally agree with him on the tiring schedule. Had someone years ago ask me if I ever thought of competitive. I told him that if I wanted to hate gaming I'd be all about it. I went on to tell him the schedule (this was during blops2) and his eyes got wide. You've got to really want it and I don't. Thankfully I always knew that and didn't quit my day job

I promise you from someone who has competed in sports through high school college and some pros once competing is gone it leaves a gap in your heart and your mind that you can’t fill. No matter how much you stream no matter how much content you do money you make losing competition will leave a depressed gap in your soul.
