Maybe it’s because I played the DS version first but outside of spinning bowser the 8 directions never bothered me. Unless you’re a speed runner I can’t think of many points in the game where having more than 8 directions would be nesseccary. Plus some levels (especially bowser levels) had widened platforms to compensate

It's not that difficult to write text on the bottom of a video. Also, the scuttlebug jamboree has been known to be possible on SM64DS for a while, but he discovered how to take the one into the metal head wario star room.
