In my country the SCX6 is “Pay expensive and play alone”… But it is cool.

really like your rundown on the scx6, wish this was out when i was looking at getting one 😂. now im all in over $2,600 in 1 rc truck (and not done) lol. they are amazing rcs, just worth more around $799.99 rtr for the parts it comes with, not $1099.99.

I crawled mine in dirt and mud. Never had any issues with steering or going up and over dirt hills. I just oversized all the accessories parts for the Scx3, and 3D printed them for my scx6. Even the front bumper with the two loop.

Just bought a honcho SCX6 and wanted to see what other people were doing with it. Great video sir. You did really interesting stuff to it. And yeah the servo gives a lot to desire. But one thing I would like to see is how you wired your steering servo to the additional battery separate from the esc/motor battery. you can make a short video and I would watch it. You gained a new subscriber. Cheers
@brokennibrc104510 ай бұрын
Thanks 👍 The wiring is rather simple, I just extended the power leads on the servo itself, but yeah, I'll try to put up a quick little video real soon.

Stumbled upon this channel and for the first video ive seen, Im hooked. Definitely sub worthy. Ive been looking at the scx6 for some time now and been hesitant because of the price. My lhs both the jeep and honcho are 1499.00 cdn rtr. Ive got 1/10, 1/18 and 1/24 crawlers but the large scale seems to interest me more. I really enjoyed the real life review and the explanations are awesome. Keep up the great vids.

Thats Quite the review on the JLU SCX6 Jeep... So anyways ive just ordered the Trail Honcho Tan on sale HH and have noted that everyone is downing the Servo but I don't think any of them tried to Install a 6 amp/10 amp burst BEC to the Spectrum rated 6-8.4 volts for more power... Thats also been ordered. I also have seen enough Video's to understand the Foam inserts are really super soft for the weight of the stock configuration so I've got a set of Injora Dual Stage foam's coming too. Im learning as much as possible before I tear the truck apart for repairs or go $500+ on simple upgrades wheels, tires, servo's and chassis parts, however I'm almost certain that panhard mount can be braced with aome creative modeling, which Joe at Exocaged RC has done the double sheer lower brace but I'm thinking i can also do it for the top?? I'm really excited to get started on the SCX6 Trail Honcho mods and will try to do a video on what I've done and plan on doing as i continue to enjoy this Mammoth RC Machine... ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing =Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 👍😎👍 AOAH =Association of Addicted Hobbiest 🙏 SSPH =Stay Safe and Play Healthy My Friend 🎊💯🎊

Yes, you can DIY a lot of these mods yourself, but you can find a cheap shock/panhard mounts on Amazon, and can save you a little hassle in my opinion. Main thing is to have fun doing it!

They are amazing and super fun!! Extremely capable. But mine sits……I go to my 1/10 1/18 I use few times a week….scx6 few times a year lol. Partially they are expensive to upgrade. Someday I’ll lower it and put it on some lcg chasis!

spektrum is not a good brand, but my scx6 is still rockin factory esc/motor after 6 months of missouri river running. the power button failed so i had to cut the power and ground for the switch out of the wiring loom and wire a waterproof switch in, but left the other comminication wires on to still have tuning functions with the factory power button. factory spektrum servo was a total joke. NSDRS-2500 V2 went in in less than a month. factory servo works great in my 1/5 scale boat though. shocks are really nice, dont leak down. panhard bar mounts need replaced asap with aluminum, same with the bar thanks to axials great rod end design there.

@@keldonator bought a set of axle housings. The upper link mount broke 5 mins of use. Vitavon doesnt sell the bolt on replacement part and their customer service kept flagging my emails as spam. Never got the situation resolved so i ended up eating the 200.

So a half inch of 5/16 tube drops it a half inch but how does the shock handle it still works well as long as no big jumps?
@brokennibrc10452 ай бұрын
Yup, handles just fine. It's not enough where it constantly bottoms out, your basically just restricting bottom travel. I also put a heavier shock fluid in there just to slow the shock down just a bit. Not really jumping ravines with this thing.🙂
