My great grandpa is the one of the oldest warriors in the village who can catch arrows if necessary, he used to tell me how he would catch arrows with his bear hand when there was no chance to avoid it. I asked why none of his fellow brothers( there were more than 30 ) lived as long as him , He simply replied "they become full of themselves and tried to catch an arrow from a recurve hornbow".

Great poetic video again, your bow is magnificent. I'm interested by experimental archeology of early byzantine warfare, and I have two questions about the might of composite bows to ask you. - Is there a kind of "Guinness record" of the most powerful traditional, composite, bow worldwide ? - Have you measured the power of your bows ? If Procopius tells the truth about archery, eastern Romans used more powerful bows than Persians (Wars against the Persians, book I, chapter 18, paragraph 8 (french edition)). By reading that I wondered : how much powerful a traditional composite bow could be ? Could it be more than 70 pounds ? or even more than 90 ?
