I live in anchorage alaska since 2018. Alaska is a unique state in that most of it is remote and you can t drive to 75 percent of it. There are many indeginous people and even others who go missing and are never found because of how remote it is. The maaximum security prison is even very difficult to get to. So prisoners even if they escape most likely wouldnt survive it because of the remoteness. I lived in western alaska for 2 years and after we moved to anchirage a indidinois woman went missing that we knew. To this day they have never found her and they searched for her for weeks. My husbamd was there gold mining and even helped searxh. We have our suspicions of who may have done it. When the last person who sees her leaves the state and another guy leaves the aame day she goes mossing its suspicious. Unfortunatley we have no solid proof they did it.

Yall dont attack these women for having possible alchohol addiction or even drug addiction. Alaska has a lot of midwesterner who move here. Many of these alaskans never leave their villages let alone alaska. So when the people came up a long long time ago they brought alchohol and rhe indigenous people it ruuns them because their bodies cant deal with the alchohol like other races.

I wish I had never listened to that audio. I stopped halfway through it. It’s terrifying and my heart breaks thinking of the horror his innocent victim went through. His other victim and there are likely more that went through this as well. He’s a straight- up psycho. It’s difficult to even say he’s human. He does not possess any humanity. I pray that over time the families are able to find some inner peace. I believe the FBI has changed the definition of a serial killer to anyone who’s murdered TWICE with a “cooling off” period in between.

I've seen lots of murder stories, but this is the worst by far. I heard a few seconds of a clip (on an early vid of this case somewhere on youtube) where this guy is torturing his victim and it was horrific, haunting and terrifying. I'd not want to be a juror on this case, and watch those full vids. You'd have nightmares, stress and trauma for ever after. It's the most horrific case. And the fact that there's many more snuff movie makers around out there is absolutely awful. People must never go off alone with anyone. Predators and snuff murderers are lurking everywhere....hiding in plain site. Take heed!! And stay safe!!

Eklutna lake power plant is a very remote place. It would be a perfect place to dispose of anything completely unnoticed. Good thing Brian Smith was caught and is off the streets. If they look back at missing persons in the places he has been over the years, I am sure they would find more victims. Unfortunately, police have a bad habit of not going out of their way to look for missing native women; something many are making efforts to change. *These women should not be dismissed or forgotten.*
