Great video with a great consist! Nice to see those SD45T-2s get another chance on a G&W road.

It was so cool to see these SD45T-2s out running, and they still had their V20s! I hope that they find a new home soon. Thanks for the comment, and watching!

Nice to see an ex Norfolk Southern SD40-2 locomotive

Thank you very much! It didn't make too many trips while it was patched out like this, but it was neat to see while it lasted.

Now that’s a consist worth chasing! If only you could set your drone down on those turbo stacks we could get some virgin 645 sound. Thanks for the great video!

Even though it's a patch, 3445 still looked pretty sharp back then
@SD4575002 жыл бұрын
I agree; the way it was patched out was pretty classy and nice looking. Its a shame that this unit didn't make a few more trips on the Mankato train before getting repainted.

Thank you very much! The old SP power looked GREAT; if only the speed lettering wasn't painted out on them.

Those two SD45T-2s are quite something, not only are they still in SP colors all these years later, but they've even still got their original SP railroad roman numbers in the 9200/9300 series. They look almost exactly like how they would have coming off the SP system in the 90s. 9283 in particular looks almost like she just came straight off an SP train, even though the last time she did that was over 25 years ago. I _really_ hope these two get preserved when they finally reach the ends of their service lives, and that their owners have the sense not to repaint them before then. I'm sure there are plenty of museums around the country that'd love a couple Tunnel Motors in SP paint.

Nice to see that some of the NS SD40-2s have found a home. Of course it’s got its Conrail Leslie RS3L, albeit very fouled.

Pilot mounted ditch lights was a dead give away to me that it was a former CR unit. I grew up in western New York. Saw lots of CR. 9282 & 9345 in SP livery and as an SP fan, i am so grateful to the railroad for not painting them.
