Thank you so much for that comparison rundown, as a model railroader wanting to model American diesel locomotives that were manufactured after 1993 to about 2010, and mostly find west of the Mississippi River this has been most informative. Would like to learn more about General Electric locomotives since they seem to have the better locomotives.

For 6K HP, why didn't they make a v24 "EMD 24N-710G3A" for SD89MAC (5700 HP) and an "EMD 24N-710G3B" for SD90MAC (6000 HP) ??

Are CP’s ACu’s the same as the NS units?
