New Hyundai Tucson 2025 Consumption Test

Just returned from a 510 mile drive in mine (n line s full hybrid) and used 39 litres sat at 60mph nearly all the way. For those wondering how much EV mode is used, i found that using smart cruise control with highway drive assist enabled i was getting around 2 -3 miles using the engine (while charging) then you get about 1-1.5 miles of EV mode. Then the battery depletes and the cycle restarts. The first 200 miles was flatter, returning well over 55mpg+. Travelling further north the terrain was much more hilly and the mpg reduced to around low 50's Iirc. 39 litres used though.

Do you have the 2 or 4 wheel drive? I’m assuming with those figures, it’s the 2 wheel drive. I’m taking delivery of an N Line S, 2 wheel drive (full hybrid) in 3 weeks, so it would be interesting to see how my experience compaires.

I have exactly the same make and model (n line s) just the ecotronic grey and am able to achieve 47mpg combined. I just returned from a 510 mile drive and used 39 litres. I did sit at 60mph though as it is suxh a comfortable car on the motorway you dont mind the extra time spent going a bit slower. A lovely car to drive, especially with the highway drive assist on with stop and go

This is a nice car, but having driven this car and the Sportage I would say I prefer the hybrid system in the Ford Kuga. It is smoother than this hybrid system and more importantly is much better with fuel consumption. I don’t think 6.7 Litre/100km is too great for a hybrid - with the Kuga I easily managed 5.2 Litre/100km and I have seen people who claim with careful city driving they have been able to get figures as low as 4.7 Litre/100km with the Kuga.

Yes, it is quiet inside, even driving around 120 km/h. N line version has soundproof front windshield and front side windows.

Yes this is “shadow grey solid” I think its an exclusive colour for the nline/nline S models
