Im at awe with Hyundai's design language. The interior is chef's kiss. It's very modern and looks very expensive, but it's not. I love stepping to the vehicle that has me feeling that I pay more for what it is. As a current Hyundai owner, I can vouche that I never have any problems with my car. In fact, it is the most reliable one I've owned so far. I just love how Hyundai hid the rear wiper for a cleaner look. That's a luxury car level of detail. I can go on about the technology. It's just unheard of in the segment. That's what I appreciate about the brand. It's so innovative. Which can be out of the norm for those who are afraid to step outside the box from their cookie-cutter world.

I have the 2025 Tucson Ultimate Hybrid, there are 2 things they could change 1) if your battery dies and you use the reset button there is no way to lock the doors while the car is charging, 2) Bluelink app drains the battery I had the car for 3 weeks and was back at the dealer to turn off this feature because the Bluelink drained my battery. Besides these 2 things the car is great and the drive is very smooth. I hope they fix the Bluelink app with the car.

On long road trips, I think the plug-in hybrid battery will last about 40 miles (assuming no recharging). After that, you’re driving on the 1.6L gas engine, which is smaller than the 2.5L engine in the gas-only model. So with the plug-in hybrid, does this mean you’re stuck with lower performance on long road trips?

In defense of the CRV hybrid, the base model has a lot of features (including a moonroof) compared to the RAV4 and Tucson hybrids. I’m someone a bit more paranoid however, and not having a spare tire is a major turndown even though the Tucson hybrid and PHEV was a very impressive car when I test drove the 2024 models
@lawdog5162 ай бұрын
I couldn’t agree more, no spare is a deal breaker for me
@jraheemjefcoat4292 ай бұрын
But you still can't get a panoramic roof on any trim of the CR-V. At least Hyundai gives you an option of a moonroof or panoramic roof. The same is true for Rav4. No seat ventilation. No full digital dash. No HUD. And you get the most tiniest infotainment screen in the segment. 7inches! Honda is overpriced for what it is. Even Toyota stepped their technology up on the Rav4. Mind you, it's getting a redesign next year. This means Honda will be lagging once again to stay competitive in the segment.

@@lawdog516 I got a spare tire negotiated in with the Tuscon deal, just take out the foam insert. there is plenty of room for the donut spare plus jack and and the air pump as well, it all goes under the lowest cover setting in the rear. The jacking areas under the car can be found in the online manual from Hyundai for the standard Tuscon, I have had this Hybrid for about 6 months and it has no flaws and is great on road trips, now averageing about 35 hwy/city, it quiet and has a smooth ride. I drove both the Rav and CRV and neither compares to the features and options available on the Tuscon. You will appreciate the warrenty 5/60 and PT 100k and the 36k N/C maintenence included.

CRV Hybrid also doesn't come with a spare tire... I think that's only on the RAV4.
@kenfrank2730Ай бұрын
I have a deposit on a Rav4 XSE hybrid, but this Tucson hybrid does look interesting. Hyundai is offering 0% financing with no payment due for 90 days. That's a very attractive offer. Some things to consider: the Rav4 hybrid gets better fuel economy than the Tucson. 41/38 vs 35/35. That can be significant if you do lots of city driving. The Tucson's engine uses GDI technology and has a turbocharger. These could increase maintenance cost in the future. However, Hyundai offers a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, which is hard to beat. One last thing: I may have to wait 3 months before my Rav4 hybrid is ready. The 2025 Tucson is already on the dealership lots. Update...The Tucson hybrid does not have a spare tire. Since I plan on camping and driving on mountain roads this is a deal breaker for me.

With the money you’re saving on interest, and MSRP, you can absolutely pick up a spare tire. For certain customers, this is absolutely something we’ve included in the price as it’s not the first time this complaint has come up.

TBH, I've been renting a Tuscon for a few months now with probably now 15K miles as an Uber driver, and I can't do anything but suggest against this car for rideshare. Yes, I hear customers rave about it's looks and comfort. I also like the heated front seats. However, the car has some problems that make it an absolute NO for any Uber driver. For one, the back seat doors are hard to close. I can't tell you how many customers I've had to make some excuse for the doors, 'they're a bit tweeky, you'll have to slam them to close them'. The doors won't close like a normal door. You have to slam them shut, but then slamming them shut just closes them, if that makes sense. Number two - the acceleration on this vehicle is absolutely abysmal. I mean - it's terrible. Perhaps it's just my particular car? It's a 2023 Tuscon, not a 2025 though. In Florida, where I live, I've literally almost gotten in accidents trying to merge onto freeways because the damn acceleration is so bad. Number 3 - turn radius. This car's turn radius absolutely sucks. I don't think I've had another car with such a bad turn radius before. It makes any street u-turns turn into 3-point turns (if you can manage even that). Finally, and worst of all, is this car's gas mileage. I looked at the car's last trip (From the previous renters). It had a combined 59K miles and an average MPG of 27. From my own experience, the car averages around 30-31 freeway miles and an abysmal 19-25 around town. For this last reason alone, I couldn't recommend this car to any Uber driver. Skip this car if you plan to use it for Uber. You're just doing yourself a disservice.

You're not driving the hybrid version. The hybrid version is far better than the gas version

This is new design is Disappointing!! What swayed me between Kia and all otger cars in that category was the unique dash/screen integration, the best I’ve seen in a modern car to date making it stand out from its competitors who have a clumsy screen awkwardly stuck on top of dash, which is also distracting! From a top class dash/screen integration to extremely basic… I’d hoped at the very least Hyundai would keep that unique style, and perhaps change the outer body, huge mistake as all its competitors are now in line with the same interior dash, actually I’ll go a step further, the new Tucson dash is a tray to store junk! It’s awful and for that reason I’m out! I’ll not be trading in my 2023 model for this new look next year
