i have one of these but i cannot make lights go to the beat, i plugged into phono socket, lights work but no sound from my amplifier, how can i connect so i can hear music and see lights?thanks

It looks like it is missing a display, seeing as 1khz was the leftmost bar, usually that is in the middle, did you try plugging the display into the other connector to get the

Yes, I think it's a limitation of the ADC and FFT. To cover a wide span from 100Hz to 20kHz you need a lot of FFT bins

I will have to dig into the ESP32 programming, I'll probably use the Arduino IDE but I'm a novice with the Arduino concept. I prefer the low level programming that I'd normally do on the PICs. The follow-on to this video will be a later project as I have quite a few I need to get done in the short term.

Hey I want something where if i play a specific frequency (sound) I can get an LED or some other light source to play the exact same frequency (color) but I have no idea where to start. I don't even know what to write in a search bar to find my specific request. Do you have any suggestions?
