Well done, Sanjena and Kameshwari ! The co-ordination between the two (especially around 4:00 till the end at 8:41) was absorbing. They have been complementing beautifully in poses with one behind the other . I enjoyed the way they were dancing next to each other making identical movements. The most commendable thing about the performers of sridevi nrittalaya is they come back to samapadam very effortlessly..this is not very easy to keep in mind..I am learning bharatanatyam from SDN dance videos..during performance I always forget to place my feet properly in samapadam..I am trying to learn it..

So beautiful. I want to remind one point though: These dances were originated to please the lords like, Siva, Durga, Ganesha etc. Even the movements r like their dances. So to show that connection u guys should put muritis in the stage or play a series of photos of the lords with similar posture like that show in the dance, in the background. I am saying this because young westernized generation r forgetting this connection and some western, specially the Christian missionaries r trying to portray this dance as their own and trying to cut its connection with the millennia old Hindu civilization. This cultural appropriation must be prevented to safeguard our rich tradition.

@@blissfulflow Many missionaries r funding people to learn Bharatnatyam etc and they r sending them to big stages and telling people that the dance is called "Jesus Natyam" (Google it), despite knowing that these dances r a form of worshipping of different indian Gods and goddesses like Lord Shiva, Dura, Ganesh etc they protray it as a dance for Jesus and they say its being used to please Jesus for 1000s of years. This is how they r trying to disassociate these beautiful arts from rich Indian tradition trying to culturally appropriate everything in India.
