It's a shame you guys have the other Hughes brother. They're all excellent players and wildly underrated defensively. Quinn Hughes if he hadn't gotten hurt should have been in the Hart and Norris conversations. Both. And as a Devils fan, you know how good the other Hughes brothers are. I think they're all about equal talent wise, but Quinn is just further along in his development.

Canucks fan here and I laughed when they said one of the best teams 😂 Honestly though Hughes is quite literally the best player the Canucks have ever had and he deserves the Norris this year

they're 4 points away from being top 10 in the league and havent played at full strength once. if they were even half as healthy as last year they'd be a top 5 team in the league. they're a great team for all the things they've been through this year.

One potential explanation (not saying it's a valid reason) for broadcasters voting the Jack Adams, is that it's a bit of a storyline-driven award, if that makes sense? And so broadcasters are very in tune with the storylines of teams. Idk that's all I can think.

idk the canucks have probably suffered just as many crucial injuries as the avs if not worse.. joshua for the first month, demko 2 months, boeser 3 weeks, miller month, hronek 6 weeks, and now pettersson and hughes for the next few weeks. That is all 6 of the canucks core top players out for multiple games.

The logic that Kapruzov should get it despite his team being bad VS Makar who shouldn't get it because his team is struggling makes SO much sense. Nothing against Hughes, who is having a great year, I think that Makar will kick it up a notch by the end of the season.

I'd probably pick Hughes as well but it's apples to oranges really. Hughes has better defensive metrics but that's really only because good goaltending and good teammates inflates a lot of those numbers. Colorado has had the most injuries in the league so they have had no depth and the worst goaltending in the league and Makar kept the backend afloat while providing offense that the team needed. It's a fine pick.

If Quinn Hughes doesn't get hurt, he's likely deserving of the Hart AND Norris. It's just unfortunate that people in Worst Case Ontario don't see him much and think he's a liability defensively. They're like people who hate Nickelback. Once they get it into their heads that they're the worst band of all time, nothing will ever change their minds.

Norris is not for the best defenseman It’s for the highest scoring defenseman Josi, Hedman, Heiskenen are better overall 200’ defenseman than Hughes, Makar, Werenzki.
