@judistzoinkiski33952 ай бұрын
Next week or go to steves channel. Fun fact other leagues let abusers back in. PS blame the oilers not gary. Even better blame the media for keep asking if they are coming back. Media needs better question not the same one over and over again
@sojiroseta982 ай бұрын
@judistzoinkiski3395 another fun fact, just because other leagues do it, it doesnt mean this league should keep it ststus quo...also there is no one person to blame, there's plenty of blame to be shared starting with the abusers, all the way to their employers' employers

I love how nearly every reason Steve gave about not wanting to be a pirate can quite easily apply to an astronaut. Can be burned by the sun, can drown in water (landing in the ocean), there may not be a poop deck but there is a poop area, can easily become malnourished, etc. It's just that being part of an expensive project in the 21st century means those things are being avoided. Basically 21st century vs 17th century.

There's no need to change play rules to make OT exciting. Change point rules instead. Currently, a team that wins gets 2 points regardless of when they win, and regulation / OT wins act as tiebreakers. Makes games worth three points. Win in regulation: 3 points. Win in OT: 2 points. Lose in OT: 1 point. If it goes to a shootout, both teams get 1 point. Shootout wins act only as tiebreakers at the end of the season. Takes the excitement out of shootouts, but also takes away any standing benefit of going to the shootout over losing in OT. Teams will be incentivized to go for the win, always.

1:08:43 I'm not intimately familiar with the differences between North American and European hockey, but this rule change doesn't sound like it fixes the problem. The reason teams circle back is because they're trying to enter the offensive zone without risking losing possession. They're looking for a defensive breakdown of some kind at the blue line, since once they cross that blue line they can't go back. Well now that blue line is at the red line. I predict that the team's behavior won't change - it's just being pushed back 30-40 feet. And by instituting a penalty for circling back, teams might get even more cautious and conservative to avoid the penalty, which will only make the problem worse. We need rules that encourage aggressive plays, and this sounds like the complete opposite. And GOD FORBID these get reviewed and we start looking for what pixel of the puck was over the red line for this penalty and what pixel of the puck was over the blue line for offsides. One of those is more than enough I don't know what the solution is, but this isn't it. That said, I'm all for the experimentation, since you never know until it hits the ice

Bowman! As an Oilers fan this breaks my heart. We have the best fans in the world, as a reward we are stuck with this heartless monster that covered up and protected a sexual predator, allowing them to offend again and again. Until this man is fired, my wallet and support are shut off to this organization. I'm not watching a single game, buying a single jersey, or supporting them publicly in any way. Some principles cannot be compromised, and I will never support those that allow young men to be assaulted by protecting the predator.
