This is one of the best features that I never understood before watching one of your videos. Having never had a radio with notch filters, it was a total mystery to me. Now I use it all the time! Thank you again.

I love the manual notch, but it would also be nice to have a fast acting auto notch to tackle transient tuner carriers often encountered on HF bands. Thanks for the great explanation of how to use the notch.

Great info Mike. Will definitely be trying it. Also I have found that when I listen to a USB transmission, if I select 6000 filter and select Digital I get a much clearer sound. Why is this ?

A wider filter will allow higher audio frequency to pass through. I usually just match the width of the filter to the width of the transmission in the AUX SP.,

Is there a way to control depth of notch, also a little of subject but I would like the "Main SP" window to auto center on my carriers but so far haven't figured that out, any help?

Also, can I manually set the frequency spread of Main SP?
@SDRplayHamGuides
@SDRplayHamGuides 2 жыл бұрын
The width of the notch can be adjusted via the BW (Bandwidth) in the AIX SP. The VFO will auto center by zooming in.
@2wrdr
@2wrdr Жыл бұрын
@@SDRplayHamGuides Thanks, I see now the depth of notch filter is not really needed while the BW is and easily changed. I also found by hitting the "clear" button in "RX Control" window that it frees up the bandspread (ruler looking portion of "Main SP" lock. This seems to be because when you select a band in "Main SP" it locks the bandspread to that band and the clear button unlocks it. BTW, thanks for helping us out!
