Seán Chon Johnny Byrne (1948-2023): Music and Conversation

Seán Chon Johnny Byrne (1948-2023) was a renowned guitar player and singer from Teelin, Co. Donegal.
For over 50 years, he performed with local Donegal musicians such as James Byrne, Con Cassidy, Dermot Byrne and John Doherty. Seán Chon Johnny's openness and ability to play both traditional and rock n'roll music appealed to all age groups in South West Donegal. He passed away on the 22nd April 2023, aged 75.
