Sailors shanties you helped preserving was one of the reasons I learned English, I used to sing them everytime me and my family went on a cruise in the red sea. Thank you very much!

They certainly are good. In a sense, all of the songs are mash-ups. The words to one song can usually go with many different other songs. Same with the choruses. That's one of the things I love about this music.

I am not much of an academic but I do plan to include a few more facts about how the songs worked in practice on the boats. If I happen across more historical info I'll include that too. Method is usually to just write what pops into my head so I'll try and get some more historical info to pop into my head.
