One of my favourites. See it in IMAX the other day. I first seen Se7en about 25 years ago when my dad bought it on DVD because we'd just got our first DVD player. I don't think he'd realised how dark the film was gonna be because I was only 5, but not like he cared. How time flies.

I really like your mix of recent movie reviews and classics. I think Kevin Spacey did an incredible job being a truly brilliant maniacal villain. If you want a non-fiction recommendation I just saw (again ) and was incredibly good and impactful was Capote with Philip Seymour Hoffman who is my favorite actor. Free on Tubi right now. Great review and analysis. Keep it up!

You have great taste. This movie really disturbed me when I first saw it back in the ’90s. If you enjoyed Se7en, you’ll definitely like Christopher Nolan’s Memento.

Seven is a very well made movie with a classic surprise twist ending, ( funny how Brad Pitt played a key role in two all time great twist endings - Seven and Fight Club ) but the ending, as brilliant as it was, was so depressing and nillistic that it's a hard watch for me. This movie certainly didn't leave me feeling all that positive about humanity. With that said, it is still one of the very best thrillers I've ever seen.

Good review and intelligent analysis. The connection to Brad Pitt's innate emotional nature leading to his downfall was a great insight. Kevin Spacey plays an amazing and realistic psychopath. What a surprise! LOL. I have no idea what is going on with Mr. Spacey but his acting portrayals are fun. I feel like real police would have just ignored Pitt's last action and make up some excuse. I think that is actually more realistic than Pitt getting arrested. Personally I hate Seven. To me, it has no redeeming qualities. LOL. Yeah, I know everybody has a dark side and we sin because we're human. Not a huge revelation. I got that from comic books and church and observing my fellow kids on the playground. 🤣 I dislike Fincher except for The Game. Everything he directs is nihilistic, dark and morose in his films. I guess this is better than Alien 3. But I am probably in the minority on this one. That's cool. I am an iconoclast!

That film is disturbing. Not family oriented. Do not watch it 😮
